Serp uses more scales than a anti-venom+ and also takes up a gear slot ontop of providing negative magic/range bonuses.

torstol is not even rare anymore and is given in abundance and you also profit torstol doing zulrah if you use anti-venom +

Serp is a great item, but if you got access to anti-venom + then there is no reason to use it.
