#Preferred pet abilities for 11.1

With 11.1 now (finally) letting us respec our pets whenever we want (if you carry engi items all the time like me) my mog has never been happier.

Now the only really pet difference is what family abilities they bring, so are there any that really stand out for different content?

Atm I am going direhorn since mortal wounds is situational in PvE and PvP plus armoured direhorn looks amazing, but I am wondering if any other hunts have a family ability they prefer and why?

Got my answer in BM chat but basically :

OK so technically bugs cause they run fast or pterrodax if you wanna slowfall to increase disengage route, solo with clefhoof cause they tough, spirit beasts kinda but heal is neglible, and funky call of the wild interactions which are kool.

Soooo still using the one that matches my mog, still pretty darn neglible.

(I main survival fwiw, so am responding from that perspective)

The damage reduction pets (raids, outdoor) and mortal wounds (dungeons) pets are my usual go tos tbh.

So, I’m personally hype to finally use my mechanicals and be able to use hyenas now, especially with the Goblin Hyenas being released in this patch.

Lesser Dragonkin have that 70% magic damage reduction if you need it for specific fights.

If I don’t use the normal 50% less damage for 12 seconds one I sometimes opt for a bear for the 60% less damage under 40% health one but there are other pet families with that.

Oh, and Feathermanes for the slower fall ability so you don’t die lmao.

aqiri have baseline 30% faster movement speed. this is the pet you will use for raids and dungeons (unless you have a niche scenario where you need a mortal strike ability).

Just a TLDR : The Aqiri pet movement speed is really just a caviat, it's for fight like Rasha'nan and long walk which doesn't really happen in S2

all you really want is 1 tenacity, 1 ferocity and 1 cunning in call pet 1-2-3 so you minmax stuff in your CotW window

Basically just go for look you want and you won't get fucked

It was find out that those who came out are based on the pets you have in Call Pet 1, 2 & 3

#

So those 2 extra are actual pet and during CotW, their retain their family value

#

So if you do the fight with Call Pet 1 out, during CotW it will spawn call pet 2 & 3

#

Same principle if 2 the 1 & 3 come out and if 3 the 1 & 2 come out

So of all of these 3 slot are 1 of each family, well for those 20 sec you will all 3 family passive so 5% hp, 15% leech and 12% movement speed
