#Moving on from BM...
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
same question actually, can anyone explain why bm considered below treshold lol, it's been like 2 days since patch went live
i saw changes to bm in the patchnotes, aren
People just sad it is not as powerful as it was and MM is stronger. This is not a new concept for people to go back and forth
aren't they considered min or buffs?
i mean yes, it's ok to jump from one spec to anther, but i don't understand all these exaggerated comments after like 2 days of a new patch
The tier set is not as impactful as other. If you have 4 piece s1 tier then you will basically rock 3 2 piece sets as bm for a slot of s2. The 4 set is not up to par until you can get it at a much higher I lvl
2 piece crafted. 2 piece s1 and 2 piece s2
At least with the current look of things. It could all change real fast
i think we all need to wait for gingi to comment on this situation lol, only if don't ditch hunter class at all
I mean it's just the way the stat weights and everything are looking. Someone else commenting will not change that sorry to say
The talent changes BM got did absolutely nothing before bm. Its running the same exact build as 10.0 and gained zero power going into 10.1. Even with full best in slot mythic raiding gear bm is 10k dps behind MM and Sv in single target which is the most important dps in a raid.
is it a stark difference in playstyle going from BM to Surv?
Melee vs ranged
And sv does very different things
Even kill command is different for Sv, its a focus generator, not a focus spender.
I'm guessing its easier to go from BM to MM then? , I don't want to handicap myself this season, want to push 3k io
MM is a way better option for you. It's better aoe and st
Oh if you want m+ sv is the best
I'm going to start learning it today.. I just made such a nice UI for my BM too.. all these keybinds ive mastered all season. RIP me...
Thought we talking raiding
He said he was 4/8m so I'm assuming he will raid too
I've seen that survival is better for M+ thats where the original question came from, but I dont want to struggle either. if it does 5% more dmg, but im doing 10% less performance its bad
This was my first season, started in January. no experience hit those milestones. so i want 3k this season, i leveled and geared a rogue to 2k and i hate the melee... i like how aware i am as ranged
MM it will be.. fuck polearms and melee.
Play what you're most comfortable with
I feel like sticking to BM is a waste of my time if im pushing though
Just gotta wait and see if bm gets tuning soon
Honestly I'll be doing BM the whole s2 just because I love the play style and if I'm parsing well then my dps will beat a bad MM anyway so it's all about fun to me
i feel like its one of those situations where its like barely a difference and only affects the people in cut off
Any spec can push to 3k. If you roll fotm and are doing less than what you do on your more comfortable spec, then all of that time spent changing was a waste
this was my worry changing to Surv, even if its 'better' i may not do better.
i swapped to Outlaw Rogue, got to 405ilvl and 2k io, and I was way outdoing it with an LFR geared BM alt, and wasted al lthat time
Exactly, even then some people can still hit cutoff with off meta classes and specs. Hunter was not a meta spec this season. Only 50 hunters in the US got to the cutoff
i mean 405 ilvl and 2 k rio are not that of a milestone, not to sound rude ar anything, im a casual gamer, that's why im interested in this myself
I got my rogue to that, in 2 days... and then outdps'd it on a LFR geared hunter.
He was just comparing 405 rogue to lfr BM hunter. I dont think he was flexing
I'm 2800, and 417, and its my first season ever
lfr gear is 402 ilvl if i remember correctly, it's like the sheer beginning of a content
its 389
^
oh mb
Nice job for first season.
and Outlaw Rogue was S tier, BM was C tier.
so its a huge performance.. thing..? idk the word lol
This was my first season pushing for title. Should swapped to enhance or sub long before we committed xD
I think yall saved me from wasting a lot of time, and burning out from playing some bullshit i dont want to. BM for season 2 here we go lmfaooo
HAHA
Well be prepared to be kicked out of high keys when people realise bm is there, he will be even worse with time without buffs
Imagine being invited to high keys as a hunter
Well its not that hard since retri meta and often lack of soothe and bl, plus i was 423 ilvl so wasnt hard to get inv
first expansion ever, never played before, started in january stopped pushing at 2800 and started playing alts/boosting friends io around end of february.
2 months hit 2800 with zero experience, never even seen the game before.
I think I will be fine. only up from there lol
all pugs, and I can just push my own key if i start to have gatekeeping around 22/23 keys
I 100% agree though, Thats my entire concern, that lead me to all of this discussion
I know the community can be harsh, and meta is meta, cant argue with it
well to be honest to 2800 you can play whatever
its around all 20, which i did first week on my new alt dh for splits never played in my life that class, i play 12 years and im mythic raider from top 100-200 guild so i have some expierience
but lets say 2800 you could even play assa rogue and you would get invs and push
im talking about something above 3k, 3,1k + atleast
there insta kick if spec is wrong most of the time
i know myself for doing that also when i inv boomie and i saw feral well xd
yeah, i have friend who is adruid healer who pushed for cutoff, nepitune-proudmore and i totally understand what you are saying
like i said, meta is meta, you literally cant argue with it. I also very much enjoy the idea of pushing 3k and higher as a BM, for that flex
I hope I don't come off as naive
well unless you have friends to take you to push to 3k
yeah, definately need a group/team
you'll prolly have a 95% chance of not getting group as BM
yeah, even right now im struggling in 15's trying to get GF to KSM because my damage went from 80k to 60k
since patch
80k to 60k isnt a patch thing, thats a you thing.
I noticed a difference too and I haven't changed a thing , and I push higher keys so idk
Well the difference is that other people do more damage
so in term reduce yours
is my only guess
We did a 26 yesterday and the damage felt about the same. Our Feral druid was absolutely blasting and did over 20k dps more than avg tho.
