you mean taking on c6 ye
fuuck so its the bishop checking that fucks up my plan
yep
thats how a lot of my games go lol
so at ~1400 as you mentioned, do you have a favorite opening at this point
not really, I guess I usually go like one of the middle pawns + bishop out
and then try to fienchetto (spelling?)
and castle
see
thats literally what i keep telling woodsy to do
and hes like
no im gonna play the london because fuck you
is that the london
I just make a safe lil house for my king
I need to learn openings
if you're referring to g3, fianchetto lsb, and nf3, thats the reti
Well .... technically speaking, London starts with a center pawn and bishop out...
I know the latvian gambit
asiano didnt know the benko at all and he did great today
sometimes u get a free win
To say I didn't know it at all is a bit far fetched. You showed me a game where you played it, I just didn't study it in-depth. I still had a look at it though and we discussed a fair bit how it can vary.
To be fair, I can't study shit in-depth against you because you aren't a one trick pony
i hate all the gimmick gambits that force a win in the first 3 moves if your opponent doesnt know what theyre doing, because if your opponent does know what theyre doing, you generally just end up with a worse position
case in point: the englund gambit
fuck that garbage ill never lose to that shit again
cough wayward queen cough
loool
Is PlayMagnus in any way affiliated with Magnus apart from the name?
pretty sure the latvian gambit is bad, but even if they do know a little bit of it you still get wild crazy games
which I think is how most gambits work?
I am running through the article quickly and I'll note that the Topalov-Kramnik scandal was source for tons of memes here and that was before meme culture was dominant.
I assume Nxe5 would be the main line. What is the plan afterwards?
you move your queen out
I havent actually done that much research I just watched this video
The Latvian Gambit is one of the most aggressive gambits in chess and many top players find it quite dubious. For the rest of us though, it has great results for black and can really catch a white player off guard.
http://www.thechesswebsite.com
Chess Software used in the video can be found at http://www.chesscentral.com and http://www.ch...
but pp think they're slick with #Qh5
I am watching the video currently because I am curious what the plan is. f5 just looks horrible tbh
Not to be a critic but the lad addressed the main line in less than 20 seconds by saying "I don't play that a lot" and showed 2 moves then focused on all the side lines.
I remember looking up more for that line specifically, but basically if he brings Q over to h5
your queen is defending if he takes with knight
Well, if I understand it correctly, the Latvian gambit offers a plethora of traps for white to fall into but if white is a good attacker, you're either getting overwhelmed or you're falling behind in development as you've only moved a queen.
different gambits have different goals, so its hard for me to generalize that gambits lead to wild games. one of the most popular gambits--the queen's gambit--if accepted, can lead to incredibly positional games, because the entire point of that gambit is to unlock the e4 square.
xd
They also named a gambit after the Captain America actor
most of the gimmicky gambits like the englund gambit, the latvian gambit, etc, are after quick wins because of misplays
then you have the next tier up which is dubious gambits that yield tempo advantages (usually to black) like the smith-morra gambit
and lastly you have the sound gambits that yield positional advantages like the QGA and the Benko
anything that is gimmicky is already garbage to me
you lose one time to it, you learn to never fall in the trap again, and then you win the game because your opponent is an idiot
the tempo advantage gambits have some merit because development is usually worth at least a pawn anyway, but its all about keeping the pressure. once you lose pressure, you fall back into a position where you're just down material
the positional gambits are the ones that appeal to me most because im totally fine throwing away one or even two pawns if it means my pieces can become gods
the danish gambit is a very good example of that actually
white will sacrifice two pawns for the sake of a bishop pair that is beyond incredible
(although, admittedly, the danish gambit is not the best example of a sound gambit, but it was good to bring up all the same. if black plays perfectly, black should come out ahead by 1 pawn)
What about the ICBM gambit
I gotta look up the danish gambit
the other one I know is the blackburn shilling gambit, which is even worse i think but it has the potential to bait people
into a smothered mate
which feels soooo good
yea i mean the icbm gambit is just a reverse of the englund in what it hopes to accomplish
sac the bishop, force the king away from the queen, win the queen
fuckin trash
you know what happens when you play someone who is aware of whats going on? you get curb stomped because you just gave up your two central pawns
I actually pulled it off once against some chess.com streamer. Was truly disappointed to find out later that the stream was turned off and that filth wasn't actually recorded.

Once I beat an easy bot
Oh, there he is
easy bots are hard
Every player has a personal grudge against the easy bots because of all those painful losses when you were new.
ironally i have a personal grudge against a player named botbot7
when i was first getting back into chess i was like 1100 or something on my throwaway acc and he beat me twice in a row and started shit talking me. he refused to do a rematch and then his account got banned for violating ToS (which could be a number of things, not necessarily cheating)
Hakuna mata guys
but probably cheating
yea he was 1400 at the time and felt all big and proud
and i bet i would absolutely crush him right now
just wish i had the chance to do it
ye prob
i still gotta see leonard and niarcus play
i have a feeling niarcus goes hard
like a 2200 sleeper in our midst
i overslept raid start tonight....
Someone doesnt know which square the king and queen go on and doesnt know what en passant is
thats who i can maybe beat
as high as i can. edibles and pen beforehand

bro why does MVL look so surprised
everyone else is trying to smile or look camera-ready and MVL is like what the fuck is going on
what is this strange device being pointed at me
thats that after-match stroke face right there
when you know what you should be doing but your brain isnt cooperating any more
I would but I'm intoxicated af
oh so do you not say every hole is a goal when you're sober
@grand idol do i just order pizza to end this dilemma
i think i just order pizza
stockfish evaluation of the position has me winning if i play the move perturb orders pizza
surely
fuck i gotta go get food too
last game before i go get food watch me lose

LOOK
BEAR WITNESS TO ME DESTROYING A STUPID ENGLUND GAMBIT PLAYER WHO THINKS HES GOING TO GET A FAST WIN
BUT I KNOW THE SECRETS
I KNOW YOUR TRICKERY
YOUR FUCKING DOGSHIT OPENING WONT FOOL ME
fucking dogshit englund gambit players smh
Isn’t it like almost equal if both sides play perfectly
No
White will always have at least a pawn and a positional advantage
With perfect play it is losing for black
Garbage fucking opening that plebs use to try and get quick wins
Not even chess
That’s fair
I think my favourite gambit is Danish
its not something id recommend to people who want to grow accustomed with the principles, but its a solid gambit. i talked briefly about it earlier today
having a really strong bishop pair going into the middle game is certainly something that can win you the whole game
Ay sir
hello fren
sorry for the ping earlier, we were trying to figure out who i forgot to invite and i thought maybe you knew
but we got it sorted
were you black or white in this
idk i won xd
why did he trade his queen
he could have moved it
to a3
because hes a stupid mother fucker and forgot about my knight
so he thought i'd have to sac my queen because of his bishop
you have to remember that englund gambit players are not real chess players
lmao
if you ever encounter an englund gambit player, rest assured you're playing against an NPC who will just start shrieking as soon as you debunk the dumpster fire that is his opening reply
@cyan elm and yes, i hate the englund more than the london. the london, although super passive and bitchmade, is at least an opening that follows principles
the englund is just 2 or 3 cheap tricks that, once refuted, leave black worse for wear.
yeah London is not on the same level as Englund
Englund is like scholars mate tier
im glad you understand my seething hatred for it
I lost to it one time when I was learning and I said absolutely never again
@grand idol lmk when you're done with dinner and we can play
im done
go easy on me @dusky hull
Join the challenge or watch the game here.
whoa a rapid game
i mean unless u wanna play less time
no rapid is fine
its actually what i prefer, i just play shorter time formats for the boys
gimme 2 seconds, bio
alright broseph, destroy me
very aggressive opening
if i dont defend well enough, this could come crashing down
if allowing me the fork on your pieces was intention, i fucked with it
just not sure it really led to a lot of initiative once i was able to castle long
yeah I thought the rook would keep em ok
wanna play again?
just hit rematch if so
do you have any particular opening you enjoy playing against, or want practice against
i cant promise i know the main line, but i can at least muddle through the first few moves im sure
no clue lol
we love tactics in this house
fuck
that is one of the juiciest bishop pairs+queen diagonals ive ever had
no disrespect to you at all
gg brother
one more for now
ye
im in shambles
yea it was a rough start
we can do a restart if you want
i liked the f5 push to get the rooks into the game
gg frendo
i tried lol
that was fun id love to play again later if you dont get bored of beating me
yea it was a rough spot to be in. like i said though i like you getting the rooks in the game by opening up lines, and not trading queens
i for sure thought I could have done smethng with my knight
nah man its not about winning or losing. i just love going through the games afterwards and seeing how i can improve
everyone can improve regardless of the outcome of the game
so a few notes unrelated to losing the bishop
if you're gonna push e5 in the sicilian, you have to do everything in your power to prevent black from winning it. the e pawn can be white's biggest advantage or white's greatest liability depending on how you play
right i let you double up knights and get it
youll notice stockfish eval is gonna drop from a relatively even game to -2 in black's favor as soon as i could capture it
that e pawn is critical
good advice ty!
ye. and lastly if you're already down in material and you're trying to attack because its all you have, don't be afraid to give even more material
like on move 20
i kinda expected you to sac your rook for my dsb
because then your dsb could potentially become a really good piece without one of my own to oppose it
i was thinking about that
you already have a knight and queen in front of my king, so giving up an exchange could be worth it
but then you take with queen
and can push away my queen+lnight
i didnt want your queen to get over there
yea, i mean in this particular position it doesnt exactly pan out in your favor, but it wouldve been a bit more resilient putting my queen on the diagonal that your dsb controls
and then id have to play carefully
like say you take with queen, then if I take with bishop you just take my knight
you never know, your attack might work because attacks are usually dependent on your opponent not messing up
what
no
i cant do that
if i take your knight im blundering
you take my queen with yours, and my pawn is pinned
because your dsb
see what i mean?
i have to be really careful
no I mean
your queen is on f6
i take pawn on e5 with bishop
ohhhhh
brooooo
i didnt even think of the pin
DUDE I SAW THAT LINE
and was like naw hes gonna take my knight
fuuuuck
and that pin is all because you sac the exchange
granted, black can defend that position and still be winning. but its a trap.
and when you're down in material, you have to play sneaky
and set these kinds of traps
so saccing the rook was an option
but overall you had good ideas
if you make it to the midgame with all your pieces, im sure you can be a real fucking menace lol
right ofc yeah its still bad
haha thanks
i keep fucking up early
im gonna start playing more 10 min
well when we play again you probably wont
and then we'll see what you're made of >:)
but yea im a big advocate of at least 10 minute games if you're seriously trying to improve
blitz and bullet are good for building intuition and pattern recognition, but 10+ min games are where you develop strategy and where you nurture your calculation skills
oh boys
im gonna humble brag here for a second, but i have a cool puzzle for anyone who wants to give it a shot. it happened in a real game of mine just a few moments ago.
white to move, following black playing Qd7. See if you can find the first move, but then see if you can find the next two moves that actually make it lethal
in case some of you try it while im asleep, here's the answer:
||b4 prompting Nca4. Nxa4 Nxa4, and then the real move you had to find: bishop back to d1, and now what do you do: your knight is attacked twice: the rook and the bishop. and it has no squares to jump to. b6 covered by dsb, c5 covered by pawn, b2 and c3 covered by queen/rook||
this is the wrong answer, but something you might've considered along the way: ||b4 Nca4, Bxb6... but remember that knights can move backwards so the knight that just jumped to a4 can jump back to b6 and take the bishop back, recapturing and getting out of danger in one move||
Do you ever sleep @dusky hull
do you

Oh shit apparently Daniel Naroditsky went on about the situation for like an hour on yesterday stream
Also impressed his chat is calling Magnus "Maldnus"
He also started the stream by saying he's gonna take a "Hans off approach today"
Hikaru plays the victim but seems to forget dedicating hours of his stream to criticize all of my interviews. with frivolous insinuations. Perhaps he deserves some blame and should take accountability for what he said. At least he has 42% more subs now

I wonder how often Hans checks the subreddit
The silence of my critics clearly speaks for itself. If there was any real evidence, why not show it? @GMHikaru has continued to completely ignore my interview and is trying to sweep everything under the rug. Is anyone going to take accountability for the damage they've done?

nope 🙂

Would he still be here if you hadn't mentioned his name?

It's not like I tagged him specifically 😓

You can do that?

Is ghost here to moderate
This is disgusting. Can’t believe hans would do this.
I am still trying to figure out the purpose of that random brick behind Magnus
I believe he shat it
If you say “ghost” he is summoned
What if I say "the mod apparition"?
Is it like Bloody Mary where you have to say his name three times in the mirror but instead of killing you he just shows up and expresses his disappointment with the current mm build in Dragonflight

lmao he looks so tilted
So I haven’t kept up with this
But hasn’t Hans said he’s cheated in the past
I guess it’s online
Hans Niemann, the 19-year-old who beat world champion Magnus Carlsen, has promised he is a reformed character after admitting cheating in the past
But I can see why someone might feel skeptical
The whole thing seems weird
I heard Hans snuck an extra queen onto the board when Magnus wasn’t looking
yeah he literally came out in the interview speaking about it
Yeh
I can say like with speed runners it usually comes out with cheating 1 run then finding out dozens more are cheated
So I am skeptical of past cheaters
In general
I just don’t know how he would of cheated there wasn’t it an in person tournament
yeah i read this was fucking hilarious
@woeful wolf stop pinging me om at work
By rook or by crook,
He put his hans on King Magnus,
With cunning and calculation,
We did not yet know the crowds forever ovation,
First from a Yasser,
With a Svidler in hand,
The trumpets blared,
The peasants did stand...
He was mercurial, eccentric, an idiot of the court,
The jester, the jouster,
A knight upon the Kings medieval fort....
The bishops stood watching,
As the king rode in,
On the square of the pawn,
It was Hans the pleasant the mob did send in,
He rode asunder, his helmet ablaze,
On a midnight horse,
His cunning unfazed,
The drama unfolding as page turned to page,
An imperial dual on the sinquefield stage.
The king triumphantly rode in to battle the fool,
A matter of course for the outcome he knew?
He was the champion of champions,
The golden lot of his age,
Before him yet another sacrificial simpleton page,
But with the opening verse came a surprise,
A Catalan transposition,
The jester set forth on a 64 square imposition,
The king still awaiting the inevitable inquisition,
But his trap was exposed,
The spring did not spring,
The king didn't know there would be such a thing...
The king steadied and henceforth sought liquidation,
His end game of legend,
The sorcerers stone,
The water from rock upon his kingdom was grown,
But the idiot parried,
And landed a jab,
The king stumbled but was still ironclad,
The jester danced, a knight and his rook,
But we all knew the end of this middle age book?
We had seen it before,
The king would escape,
Unless thee the story of Henry the 8th,
The peasant maneuvered,
Battling against fate,
The peasants threw stockfish, but it was only bait,
A tick of the mind,
The doubt of a king,
Even Alejandro couldn't believe it a thing!
The prophets declared lines of escape,
As the jester showed imprecision,
But it the mind of the king, these were Merlin's decision,
But it was the hand of the Hans decided who decided his fate,
The shake of the hans,
Instead of checkmate!
Yes boss
Delegate me some work I gotcha

@dusky hull you should do like a “bronze league hero’s” chess cast

Then let's get our bronze heroes going
I have work rn alas
WUT
Then I have keys to heal
i didnt know the offer to play chess was on the table
After work I’ll play until it’s time to heal keys
Work has been annoying as fuck today
I have no idea what this means
There was this Starcraft comentator you might have heard of - Husky
He used to do a cast like that and you might find remnants of it on other channels - he deleted all his videos after he stopped producing content.

i havent slept and i have time for one single game
who wants to do it
you have the advantage of rest on your side
sure
Join the challenge or watch the game here.
@dusky hull
im too slow..
Ohhh content
... guess not
@half hedge app tells me you issued a challenge, is that correct?
@delicate peak after my conference calls i will be down again
How do you stay awake during those
it means castles (short)
OWOWO

castles long
well blunders, like most other things in that chart, are categorized by centipawn loss. so maybe you were winning by a forced mate and you made a move that took you to +50 which means you're still massively winning but you just didnt play the best move so blunder

Enhancements
I can smell someone being online

my coach asked me what i think is my best chess quality and i said my ability to mount a defense after blundering terribly
and he said
@half hedge castling long in a position where you moved two of your queenside pawns forward isn't particularly safe but luckily for you, your opponent is in no way to attack you there. Try to develop more pieces.

"yea, you do that very well"
HE'S WATCHING
I'm always watching
im just waiting for my hair dye to develop 😦

I still haven't seen you blunder, Pert, so I think your coach might have been just confused and didn't want to argue
F
You're better here.
Black has 5 undeveloped pieces for starters
And out of the two knights that are out, one is locked in jail
because Im dumb af
Or just take it yourself?
but his bishop will take it
Now both your rooks are hit by a knight that didn't have anything better to do
now he could check me
So?
It happens very often. It just happens to not be when I’m playing against you. Although you could argue that the games we drew were due to positional blunders instead of outright material blunder
It's a simple check. Nothing more. You're in no danger. Your pieces are in poor positions though so you need to shuffle them around a bit.
now i sweep up pawns?
or well those 3
wait no
he can take my queen if i go for the back one
Mhm
the rook ?
Game is currently equal but you have way more time. Play calm and don't rush.
we love to see it
Yeah, great idea to take advice from someone who hangs a king regularly

Wait, that wasn't on purpose?
Pretty sure it's forced mate
usually by clicking
Get your queen to d1, prepare for an attack
Ok, see this - you have a rook, queen and knight against a king that has nothing nearby.
Nh3
Check the king and win yourself time to move the rook out of danger
Mate in 4. All yours.

or just time i guess
It was Qg4+, Kh2, Rf2+, Qg1#
Just drive the king into the corner where there is no support.
Well, most of that is due to not spotting how to get a winning position through constantly being on the offensive. Realistically, you had just 1 actual blunder.
yea if you repeatedly dont see the same idea when its your turn a couple times, you can wrack up centipawn loss even though you're realistically only making the same blunder again and again
Well, try to get a mate. There are actually some excellent training exercises.
PUZZLES
Ladder mate is the easiest of all.
Once you get the concept of that, you will find that sometimes all you need to finish the game is a rook and some open space.
According to Stockfish, she missed mate in 13 which is just ... bruh, that's no blunder, that's just common folk playing
yea missing mating sequences can be pretty detrimental to your overall calculation at the end
even if they're hard to follow as a human
@half hedge more games
I’m at work
Had Dr appointment
Now working
Then gotta sneak out of work early for blood and urine tests
So actually gotta work for a while
I have food now also
game?
Soo ... uhhh ... new challenger?
he could be
It’s a good thing I was paying attention to this call because my boss just asked me a question after like an hour and a half of no one talking to me
HES LAUGHING AT ME
Is that your brother against you?
yeah
I'm joining late but looking at moves, you blundered as early as move 2. That's one thing I learned from Pert as he made sure to demonstrate why it is so terrible - do not play f6.
iu screamed in voice

To be fair, your brother is giving you a chance here and there. Either that or he's blundering hard but I doubt someone at that level thinks about a move for a long time then just hangs a piece straight up.
give her queen odds
A little tip on your last move - do not put your rooks on the same diagonal for no reason, especially if that diagonal is completely open and has a queen/bishop lurking on it.
yeah I wanted to hang myself
No need. Everyone makes mistakes. Just make sure to learn from them.
You follow that goal

as a kid he used to always get the frosted chess board out and id have no idea wtf was going on
Oh, you two are playing again. I'll get the popcorn ready. SALTY popcorn.
OH NO, IT'S ACTUALLY A TSL MATCH
I WAS PROBABLY WINNING SO BAD

Every move they've both played is Best basically
99% accuracy for both
looks like white is gonna win
gonna push the a pawn
what the fuck
why did he go down the exchange without any pawns???
is king bishop vs king rook a draw?
That would depend a lot on the actual position I think? In this case it was because there was no way to save the rook
So it was just king bishop vs king which is a draw.
ok so @delicate peak on move 42, why didn't white try to go rook A1 instead of just trading
how does black defend against rook h1 and then taking with bishop
Rook A1 leads to a line where black queens

@half hedge Do not move your bishop to a place where it can be easily stopped by a pawn unless you are 100% sure that bishop will achieve something.
its lost to time anyway
Is that why you are blundering?

||it was a trick question, you can't move it there because my bishop would be blocking||
You still solved it correctly.
I was assuming you meant if i took the bishop
but
i just realised i wouldn't be able to
because i'd be in check
The point I am making here is simple - you now ON YOUR OWN learned why moving the bishop there was wrong - you saw the sequence that would be following.
So in the future, you would hopefully not do that again.
It's rapid so it's okay to take your time. As a matter of fact, it is best you do.
You don't queue for a 10 min game to only use 30s of it
FUCK
"How to castle in four moves instead of one: Definitive guide"
It would have helped me develop
back to this
One thing that is usually taught to beginners (although in my opinion not entirely correct) is "do not move your queen during the opening".
So my question is - what was the purpose of moving yours? The only thing achieved was letting me attack it which wasn't pleasant.
You might want to move to lichess because there I can extend your time. Just because obviously time was troubling you at the end.
Time and chess hates me

5+3 just because I'm used to playing that but I'll extend regularly so don't worry.
wait what
If I have a pawn covering your single pawn move and you instead move it twice, I can capture it. BUT ONLY during that move.
thats fucking bullshit
It is 😄
YEEE BOI
If you push the g pawn, f is no longer pinned so it's a free knight
Aight, back to regular play
i was like yeah but then you just take G on next turn
and my pawn is in the same place
so its no longer protecting my king
2 pawns for a knight tho
Not with that piece.
Now you see why.
OKAY
I move to h5 not to attack you but to have an escape
I forgot about my rook

Looking back at this game, what would you say caused you most trouble?
This isn't a one-right-answer question but rather a feelycraft one. What's your personal opinion here?
my Defence probably
And why was it hard to defend?
Realistically, I would only attack you with one piece at a time. What was the thing that made it hard to defend?
Idk probably me feeling overwhelmed quickly
I'll give you this - you were doing perfectly fine and holding equal ground for a while.
Allowing my knight to infiltrate was what made your position bad - because you simply had no answer to it.
Additional point is moving your king forward for absolutely no reason. If you are in the back, I have less ways to attack you. Doesn't necessarily mean you are safer but generally means I have fewer threatening moves.
btw after playing the knight sequence correctly the position was favoring you according to analysis. Not an overwhelming victory but after I gave up the d pawn, it's -4. That is the equivalent to a bishop and a pawn.
Yup.
There are two things that you can keep in mind to evaluate your position at any time even though you are not a computer:
- Material advantage
- King safety
While you aren't going to be 100% accurate with your predictions, it is easy to assume that if you aren't down in material and your king is safely tucked away somewhere, you are likely winning. At worst, it's a draw.
Pudgy I Think the puzzles would help you a ton
from discussion here
in terms of trying to help you expand chess thinking
Yeah I probably should
I mean I think the struggle of new player is thinking far enough ahead generally
and I think puzzles help
From what I've seen that is correct. But currently the biggest issue is thinking "what would my opponent do on the next move?".
I think that thinking ahead is the important skill
once you think ahead you can transition into "why would they have made this move/what is thier goal?"
or more correctly "If i made this move what would my goal be?"
It most certainly is. And talking from experience, thinking ahead is the actual thing that makes playing seriously exhauisting*.
To put it into perspective, playing random unranked games, I get to do whatever I feel like in whatever way I think might be okay. No need to give a fuck. Then you go into a serious game or a tournament and you try to think 5-6 moves ahead like if you are some robot and not only does it chip away at your sanity but you also get analysis wrong at times which ends up in you making mistakes+getting annoyed at getting it wrong. Only to have frustration build up and evolve into negative emotions.
If everything is exhausting, there might be an underlying issue as to why. Hobbies, for example, should never feel exhausting.
Yeh
Trying to find out why
I certainly hope you are a lab worker and all that is just profession related

That doesn't sound comforting in the slightest.
/shrug
rather know what it is so I can be done with being exhausted
and get back to enjoying things
@tardy finch LETS DO IT

@tardy finch
asiano is so nice
Well that was weird
You walked into it
after the castle is there something i could have done
Push h pawn once before castling so I can't get in
I am so used to people capturing that pawn that you immediately threw me out of theory
😓
theory omegalul

I THOUGHT YOU WOULDN'T TAKE IT AAAHHH
ye sure
Just give me a few minutes
It's better I sober up
/pull 5
Got the happy juice
I spilled the happy juice because it tastes like shit
I will honestly need Pert to analyze which capture is better in this position because I'm not able to differentiate
GG
GG
i have clinched my spot as worst TSL player
This was a good one
Worst?
You held the game pretty well
To be fair, I am certain that any passive move here from me would have ended in a loss
You mean the knight joining the rook and queen?
Though, looking here, I am not really sure why I didn't just push
I saw the check and then u go to the corner and was like fuck what do i do now
aaaaah
If I went in the corner, you still have Rd2
Simply because earlier I decided to defend my knight and pawn instead of pushing the pawn like a boss
In which case Rd2 is met with queen promotion
You really should have punished that mistake there but you doubted yourself. Never do that. You are most definitely better than you think.
Damn, going into analysis, the eval bar just had a stroke around those moves
At the very least, I now have some relatively bad experience with the english opening so I know from experience to never play it again
I am alive
