BUG DESCRIPTION-

The acorn weevil is a small brown beetle, about 3/8 inch long, known for its very long, thin snout—especially in females, where it can be nearly twice the body length. It belongs to the genus Curculio and feeds on acorns. The female lays eggs inside developing acorns on oak trees during summer.

PLAYSTYLE-

His playstyle is most foccused on defending the ball with his on ball ability and also being annoying with his on ball! (also, the acorn weevil im suggesting has to be a female one)

CLASS-

Defensive/annoying/disruptor

OFFBALL ABILITY: STAB!

The acorn evil stabs (like a long dash) throught the ball and drill it with its snout, making the ball fly like a deflating balloon! (cooldown: 25 sec)

ONBALL ABILITY: LAY EGGS

When acorn weevil uses its on ball ability, she lays her eggs inside the ball just like a real acorn, and after laying her eggs, the next oponent that grabs the ball will explode it and a creamy white larvae will be born, that will follow with the speed of a normal beetle walking the closest ball on the map and once the larva touches a ball it gives it to the acorn weevil! (if the acorn already have a golden ball it wont work and if the larvae gets headbutted it dies and do a big knockback)

the beetle idea is cool but the abilities seem insanely underpowered

the offball is a super headbutt on a 30s cooldown and no opponent with a brain is going to let the larvae crawl across the map to a ball spawn and take it back to the player

#

in general i am super hesitant to even consider any like pathfinding-based abilities because there’s just no way they would ever work well

#

i imagine the abilities are based off of the beetle in real life, which is cool but not always necessary (e.g. rhino beetle)

the onball is better, but it still feels kind of weird, what's the justification for teleporting balls from the larvae to the beetle (if that's what you're proposing)?

also, an opponent has to pick up the ball to trigger the explosion... they just instantly headbutt the larvae (no threat of a golden ball since it's gone) and then the 55 second cooldown is wasted
