I know the lore don't really match up but hot take: make an ant with wing

ball ability: friend ants come with you, if glide they just become bonkers that do absolutely nothing if you run into someone they get stunned for a short time

no ball: take and build stuff from sources around the map, like little construction workers

This idea could work with any mimicking rove beetles! They copy pheromones and appearance

And they can still keep the same abilities(maybe not the without ball ability)

I mean it could be the ants building while the rove beetle just is “directing” them
