[ Halloween event ] game crashes- candy resets to 0

the game has crashed twice for me in the last couple hours & when i load back in, the halloween event progress bar is empty / candy is reset to 0. lost about 150 or so due to this.

Dang! thats tough Im sorry to hear youre having an issue like this. So even if you save the game, upon crashing it just resets everything for the halloween event?

wow, thats a tough 1. I looked but didnt see anyone else report this, it makes sense with a new event there could be a issue or 2 though 🙁 Is there a specific moment that its crashing? gotta be something thats causing it

Can you open a ticket in #🛟┃lifeguard-help-station ? We want to check those crash logs and see what is causing them

the game is much laggier since the update and freezes quite a bit when i’m editing the layout of the park, seems to crash after an hour / hour and a half when im in build mode.

Ahh so its the build mode doing it hmm. hopefully they can find out whats causing it in the logs 🙏

For reference the OP was playing in a Steam deck so there might be other things at play

I had this problem too. Cat shut down my pc and all candys were gone. I am playing on PC Steam.

@hazy valve your situation didn't involve a game crash though right? But, you still have all your candy reset, even after saving the game, so it's still the same issue I'd say

Between the posts and the comments, 5 actual different people have said they've had the same issue so, I'd say this is definitely becoming a common one

no my game didn’t crash i just went off the game then came back to see all my halloween decorations gone and im reset back to 0

Gotcha. So some peoples haven't crashed but some have, but same thing is happening and candy is gone 🙁
