I'm for almost anything that has the potential for higher difficulty.
I appreciate that the game is laid back, but if you can resist filling your park up with every pool and slide you can fit in it, and keep it manageable, you'll find that the game is not overly challenging.
I would love the option to start over with a few of the more tedious things unlocked already, and the difficulty being greater.
The only question I'd have is: What constitutes greater difficulty? Higher purchase and/or upkeep costs? Trash filling faster? More problematic guests?

I think the game could go 1 of 2 ways. (Yes this might be biased and it is my opinion that I also made a suggestion about before, but I will try to not be too biased)
Either there is prestige
Pros:
You almost restart, but keep some upgrades or something, maybe the location gets moved to a more rich area. Maybe the costs are higher, but you get more money and research points, but things cost more.
Cons:
The problem for me is that games that have prestige usually have much more scalable stats and upgrades. The hammers and cleaning items can only go so much faster or increase the percentage so much. The employee stats don't need to and can't increase that much either. Employees being even better would require a bigger area or something. More employee slots, again, not necessary, but could be useful.
Point is, this game isn't like those others where you infinitely increase the same few upgrades to just get more and more money etc.
OR
They add more difficulties
Pros:
Players can choose how easy or hard the game is
The increasing difficulty means that it's not about scaling. It's just making it harder, more grindy or impressive if you get far instead of making you earn like $1M and it doesn't even mean anything like games that prestige do
You can make the player earn less money and need to spend more
les guests show up
more problematic guests.
Cons:
No new stars necessarily
No "upgraded" location
No ever increasing stats like crazy high numbers
No unlocking more items and pools and attractions via higher difficulty

That it might actually be a bad idea

When you put the cons in the second one together, it seems pointless to prestige. When you are constantly scaling up the difficulty with every prestige you will come to a point when you don't earn enough money to upkeep and it might be better just to start a new run orbdestroy and rebuild your park

The think with prestige is that every game that has it, also scales your earning. It's not restart with more difficulty, it's restart with some extra buffs and make every number bigger including earnings

I read the comments more times then the post...

In that case I would sayNew Game Plus vs more difficulties is a better debate

I also feel like keeping some upgrades is a bad idea, maybe if you keep like an employee slot so you can hire them on the first day rather

#

Imagine if you just keep all the resort thingies and just can't buy them until like day 10. It could be a strategy for high earnings after the fact

I don't feel like adding new game plus or prestiging a park is the way for this game anyway, it's not that type of game. You play untill you beat, you don't then restart

That is what I was going to say

But like I said, my idea was adding more difficulties anyway but zi already made a post about that

I don't feel like this game needs a prestige function to be better. I guess if you can add difficulties into a "fast food restaurant" game, you can in a waterpark sim?

Yeah, Imma take down my posts bc of that
