Confused with the 6 main stats of weapons in delta force? Worry not, I'll explain it all in detail plus some tips regarding modifying your guns!

#

1. Damage
Referring to damage per bullets of a gun, the weapon damage can't be changed directly as of now. However, you can indirectly change how damage works by increasing your weapon effective range.

#

2. Effective range
Referring to how far your bullets will do full damage before damage drop off kicks in. The general rule of thumb is the longer the range, the less damage your bullets will do. From shortest effective range to longest we got : Submachine Gun (SMG) > Assault Rifle (AR) > Marksman Rifle (MR) > Sniper Rifle (SR).

This video will visualize the effect of maximum range towards MP5 damage on target.

#

3. Recoil control
Referring to the gun recoil when firing in full auto mode, a high point in recoil control is a must in all automatic weapon like assault rifle (AR), submachine gun (SMG), and Light Machine gun (LMG). High recoil control means low recoil when fired. When putting attachment, due notice if the attachment affect vertical recoil (recoil that goes upwards) or horizontal recoil (recoil that goes left and right), or both with recoil control bonus. Check the weapon detail to see the effect in real time without having to go back and forth to the shooting range.

The video below will visualize the effect of recoil control towards MP5.

#

4. Handling
Handling mainly affect your movement speed while aiming down sight (ADS) and your scope opening time. Better handling points mean faster movement speed and aiming down sight. Although not as important as recoil control and weapon stability, bad handling point will cost you your mobility and reaction time in close quarter combat.

The video below will visualize the effect of handling towards MP5

#

5. Weapon stability
Referring mainly to the recoil of the gun when shooting in semi auto mode or bolt action, weapon stability is a must upgrade for marksman rifle (MR) and sniper rifle (SR). The higher the weapon stability points means closer grouping when shooting in semi auto or bolt action, longer breath holding time, and less flinch when taking damage.

The video below will show the effect of stabily on PSG-1

#

6. Hipfire accuracy
Referring to how big the crosshair will be when shooting from the hip, higher hipfire accuracy mean smaller crosshair. It's a good pick for someone that likes to run and gun and best applicable to close range weapon like the SMG.

Video below will show the effect of accuracy on MP5

Is this your own research?

This game has fairly too many weapon stats that easily makes specialty tools like hard snipers and shotguns too negative something, or should I word it like, makes general universally flexible guns like assault rifles and some SMG s and some HMG better cause of less annoying negatives or less/fewer/more tolerable cons.

Thanks man for the guide !!@orchid sorrel

But that sort of playstyle isn't as meta as you might think

You could sacrifice handling on LMGs and put bipods and heavier magazines for suppressive fire for example

#

Or turn the G3 into a long range weapon by slapping a scope, a bipod and a plethora of other appropriate attachments (it's actually the designer's build for G3 lol)

#

I myself love playing gunner with PKM or M249 SAW lol

Not to sound strict or complainy but you know many people enjoy playing snipers, they could atleast make snipers fun, even awp which the iconic OHKO Sniper in many games, was only OHKO in also the TTK range of many guns(in short the advantages is a moot cause of other guns' better flexibility and field of view). Bullet travel, bullet drop, and even bullet spread on a sniper, got largest flinch when got shot in any game I've seen, lastly, the "Point A is getting captured" every two to three seconds, is blocking your target which is smaller that that notification.

Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad game, but been shooting fully automatics for almost 2 generations now lol

#

I mean if there are 1000 general ranks, who reached general only using snipers?

#

No one reaches general with ONLY snipers

#

I myself enjoyed playing luna snipin and even went up against other snipers

#

Never had an issue with the UI stuff but I suppose they should add an option to disable flag overlay if they haven't already

#

You get a plethora of scopes plus you can choose to mount a laser or offside scope to shoot up close in a pinch

#

Thermal scope from the armory is gr8 as well
If you want more flexibility you can try out marksman rifles

#

But I think sniping is fine, would be nice to get info on bullet travel to make shooting easier but that's part of the game Ig lol

#

You can increase stability to help mitigate the flinching that occurs when getting shot

#

And AWM having OHKO at a longer range sounds like a slippery slope, it's already oppressive as is under the right hands
