Game Crash when loading rosaria area
Game Crash when loading rosaria area pre-primogenesis
How does it crash? Like is there a certain location that crashes?
I had problems in the past for example where if I tried to cross the bridge to Eistla in Waloed my game would crash.
I had to downgrade my NVIDIA driver to a really old one to fix things.
I tested loading a save file on the bridge to Eastpool (one of my usual mod testing spots) and no issues.
Whenever I load in any location in rosaria it crashes for no reason
So you can't even load the save file
No I haven't downgrade it
Oh okay what version are you on?
No I mean driver
I haven't checked it yet
It could be that
Do you remember when the crashing started? Like what changed about your computer beforehand?
I am on an older driver version than you 'cause I rolled back to the one that worked at game launch which is super old lol (561.09)
Looks like 581.80 is from Nov 2025
I did some testing earlier, for instance, buried memories mission which is set in eastpool. It was working fine earlier then it crashes at the middle of the fight. (Without mods)
My crashes happened earlier in the year than that
Did things crash before November?
Or rather has it been crashing since November?
it was on late December i think
Well, you could try rolling back your drivers anyway if you want. Do you know how to do that?
You have to make sure it's a clean uninstall (using Windows safe mode reboot and DDU).
I've helped several people with FFXVI crashes roll back their GPU drivers before by writing up a detailed guide on how to do it. Let me know if you need that
Alright
Oh right, you'll have to reinstall your game again too.
So you want to detailed guide? I have to forward a bunch of messages. It's super long lol, so wait a few minutes for me to say I'm done forwarding
yeah
I wrote the guide for AMD drivers originally, but I'll give you the link to the old working NVIDIA driver that I use:
Oh wait, are you on a laptop or desktop 'cause that's desktop drivers
I just updated my graphics driver to see if it works
