it looks scary but most of the small pixel mess islands would be gone in the actual game

unreal oxide
#

they are from opentopography

rich grove
#

I feel there is to many pixels and it’s to small

unreal oxide
#

one or the other bro 😭

#

if its small it cant have too many pixels

rich grove
#

To may smaller sand masses and only two nations. Necessarily it’s just a small map with to many islands m. No point in having it if it’s gonna be that small👍

#

You wouldn’t even be able to resize it to make it fit

#

And yes it can be smaal with many pixels/islands is what I mentioned

unreal oxide
#

the map is like 2000 pixels wide. Also why only 2 nations? Nations dont need to be countries they can be cities

unreal oxide
rich grove
#

I have massive doubt it will be as big as all of those other maps

#

70% of it is water😭

unreal oxide
unreal oxide
rich grove
#

Just the actual land mass irl

#

Right?

unreal oxide
#

yes

#

heres the areas of every map

rich grove
#

Lemme check okay,

unreal oxide
#

i agree theres a lot of water but like. The japan map is 2500x2500 (the biggest one in game aside from giant world map) yet has land area comparable to pangea

rich grove
#

I do realize the giant scale, and still don’t believe they will scale it 1.3 mil pixels total. I also see the problem and it’s the nations. I know you said it doesn’t have to been the country’s instead it can be the city’s, there are also two main city’s in that region, if we did country’s there would be 2 country’s chile and Argentina

unreal oxide
#

manicouagan has mountains and islands as nations

#

theres like 6 towns in this map, and islands could be added to increase the number

rich grove
#

But yet open front mainly focuses on the MAIN city’s. The island nations won’t do any better. For example North America has Nunavut, Alaska, etc.

#

The islands won’t do good at all

unreal oxide
#

well yes because north america is bigger than a lake

rich grove
#

Ok then

unreal oxide
#

baikal also has islands as npc

rich grove
#

Britannica is a comparable size

#

Has wales, Irish city’s, France, Scotland, an England

#

Has lots of nations

unreal oxide
#

these are the NPC of manicouagan

rich grove
unreal oxide
rich grove
#

I get that you want to show me it

unreal oxide
#

my point is that the nations dont need to be nations they can be whatever 😭

rich grove
#

“Whatever”

#

Sooooooo

#

Your saying towns, villages, tribal villages, and county’s

#

That’s “anything” right

#

Pacific Ocean? It could have a region on the west coast

#

Atlantic

#

Indian Ocean

#

Ect ect

unreal oxide
#

here, i found that theres a lot of municipalities in the region from both countries

#

also this

#

this is good enough

#

i count like, 16 that are in the map. Could be rounded to 20 with some islands

rich grove
#

And yet it’s divisions🤦 I’ve never heard of a nation in openfront as a division

#

You just don’t get it

unreal oxide
#

again, we have MOUNTAINS as nations

rich grove
#

Name them

unreal oxide
rich grove
#

Which map

unreal oxide
#

manicouagan

rich grove
#

Let me run a game to make sure

#

Just looked at ALL of the nations and non of them were mountain nations instead were river

unreal oxide
rich grove
#

Broooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Asia has mountains in the region, does that make Russia a mountain????????????

#

Be more specific when you say stuff brotha

unreal oxide
#

is this lake as big as asia? no

rich grove
#

I never compared it 🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦

#

The whole audience🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦

#

🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦

rich grove
#

“Look”

unreal oxide
#

nations dont need to be actual nations

rich grove
#

I never said that

#

And also

#

That’s just one, but okay

#

Whatever you say pall

unreal oxide
rich grove
#

“Island ”

unreal oxide
#

what point are you even trying to make atp

rich grove
#

The point is that this map is a special map because of its unique map. Especially with the geological land scape. You can just slap Quebec down and call it a day🤣

unreal oxide
#

but they didnt and they added mountains

#

i dont see why adding provinces as npc would hurt

rich grove
#

Your going into a whole different thing

#

Openfront language

Bots=npc

Nations=could be viewed as a player bot or a mini boss

Provinces are things like British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Yukon, Ontario, Quebec.

Your saying provinces should be npc when we were talking about how we shouldn’t allow mountain nations. This map is probobly going to be the only map like this.

unreal oxide
#

im saying we can add provinces of argentina and chile as nations. bots, mini boss.

rich grove
#

Provinces are also rarely shown during maps

#

But it could be one of those rare ones
