Quite often people just leave mid-game when they realise they're stuck in middle of friendlies and don't want to donate to those on the border with enemy team. So they're basically dead land, useless. Add an option to conquer them, so that even after they left, they can be beneficial to the team

I would prefer (And it would be more fair) that the land of a player that has quit the game (Closed the tab) becomes a bot/free land. It would be fair for everyone, instead of someone just clicking "conquer" and taking the land.
