This strat is all about messing with people's gold by controlling the trade routes. You find those important straits and just sit there like a boss, blocking everyone's ships from getting their gold.

How It Works
1.-Early Game: Don’t rush it. You want to expand and grab one of those key straits. Don’t even block trade yet, just get your position set up, and get ready for the gold flow later. You’ll be good.
2.-Mid-Game: Here’s when the fun starts. Make some battleships to defend their strait. Now that you control the strait, start blocking trade from pretty much everyone except your neighbors. Their ships gotta pass through your strait to get anywhere, so you’re basically robbing them. You’ll get gold income from your neighbors since you’re still trading with them, only block from trading those who are aggressive or betrayed you.
3.-Late-Game: By now, your enemies are struggling because they can’t trade properly. They’re stuck with weakened economies, and you’re sitting pretty with steady gold. Keep expanding, and it’s basically their trade income is crippled since they are trading with their nearest neighbors.
Why It's a Good Strat (from the games I played)
It’s simple, because by blocking trade through key straits, you choke everyone’s economy. They can’t trade with most of the player crippling their gold income, while you’re still making money if you have enough workers and trading with your neighbors, you will not receive much income either but neither other players. so just take a strait and cripple the economy!
