#merv is just a one shot kill

exactly its just game over the second one is lauched
it's already 3x more expensive than the h bomb.
I think that a missile defense system solves this
no it doesn't is a cluster bomb which power scales unless you shot downm the orginal there is no point
That's the point of MIRVs
To end the game and not prolong it
Their removal is very unlikely
A huge nerf is unlikely
They are meant to be OP
A small nerf or change is possible i think
Sure I can see that but it just removes all strategy in the late game it’s just rush to get it and nothing else what’s the point I could be crushing them but if they managed to get to 15 mill quicker then me they just win or you get into a stalemate where you both just launch an mirv at each other
no
I feel like the price of the mirv should be upped by alot
maybe to 20 mil
would be fair
but listen
there are ways to counter MIRV
It makes games shorter
you guys just havent found them yet
UN people once you become agent you will be able to see how to counter MIRVs
+I'm pretty sure dev is thinking about adding anti missile anyway
needs to be very minor
and very nerfed
Can’t wait to find out how so I can patch it 😀
Fair criticism
I have two main points. First, economy management is crucial in Open Front, and players who handle it well should be rewarded. That said, maybe MIRVs could be adjusted slightly—perhaps a small nerf, but not to the point of making them useless. They shouldn’t one-shot kill, but they should still deal significant damage.
Second, you brought up stalemates and the tendency for players to launch MIRVs at each other in the late game, and I completely agree. It shouldn’t have to end that way. I think stalemates shouldn’t be an automatic burden in the endgame, especially when peace options will exist. For example, if two superpowers remain and both have MIRVs, neither should be forced into a drawn-out war if peace is a viable option. It’s realistic, and i dont think it’s necessarily not fun, not all games require ending with one player. But yeah still most games shouldn’t end in stalemates or draws—that shouldn’t be the norm unless it actually makes sense.
bruh
no
it shouldnt be patched
Yeah im pretty certain that they wont work as most people think they would
They wouldn't just shoot out any nuke coming
That would be too OP
They'll have limitations
it makes sense
i win a lot of games based on my superior economy management compared to the other player
Economic dominance is part of the game
So good job, you're good at it;)
SERVER DOWN
yup
So I had a game where me and another guy were both the 2 strongest players and we both got MIRV'd, and the 3rd and 4th players were far too small to be able to take advantage of it, but we were entirely too weak to recover from it, resulting in a game that would never end. So if the purpose of this is to avoid prolonging the game, I don't really think it's serving it's purpose.
Idk ur more I’ played the game I disagree now there’s definitely still plays to be made and I just had a game simlaer to it but I was able to take advantage of it and end up winning there still should definitely be an mirv alert and who sent it (they should do this for all nuke)
I get what you're saying... and definitely does need an alert on who did it. I MIRV'd the crown who had 50% of the map and then he MIRV'd the other guy (assumedly thinking he did it) and I got the W that way, although it seemed kinda cheap lol.
Maybe it shouldn't whipe out the troops when it hits, or make the radiated areas significantly cheaper for the MIRV'd player to reclaim (although this presents its own difficulties).. Not sure what the answer is, but it definitely needs more tweaking.
Your suggestion has been alr added in .dev for all types of nukes
i leave some money after i get mirved for cities and can beat them conventionally
nah, you can win when two players starting to merving each other
and you have hidden missle silo + 15m gold 😄
even after v16 mirv is still a 1 tap
If MIRVs are disabled on a portion of the online games then the people that like MIRVs can play with them and the people that doesn’t like them can play without them
