I haven’t gone through the whole shebang yet, but I just want to know what to do beforehand. Do I:
a) download the game and replace the new Spore file with my old save, or
b) just plonk it in without installing it?

I’m afraid a might break the game, and b might trigger some problem with… how do i put this… not systematic, but perhaps legalatic? I do have the game verified and bought on Steam (that’s what I use), so I suppose it would be alright…

Thank you in advance!

wow, you’re typing already

that’s quick

The folder won’t exist until the game is first launched, so just put the backup one in the right place and it’ll detect it

#

Specifically, every time the game is opened, it checks if the folder exists, and uses that data if it’s there
If it’s missing, it creates new data

I just forgot, my dad installed the game already last night, so a new galaxy is probably generated already. Would a suffice in this situation?

if a folder already exists in that place, delete it first, then put your backup in its place

-# I should probably have referred to it in caps, it just looks a little confusing
