Sharing from inside the editor is bugged, you need to save the creation and then share it from the Sporepedia

I'm having the same issue as well. I usually share mine via the Sporepedia, but now it doesn't work. Trying inside the editor doesn't work either. The game also logs me out every time after this error.

The logouts on failed share are an intentional function to make sure it doesn't accidentally duplicate the creation

Anyway, have seen a few reports on this now, we saw a similar issue a few months back, so it might be the same issue popping up again. I'll let the team know so they can check in on it

If it’s the “creation was not successfully shared” then it’s a server-side issue and not a mod issue

If the creation does share but doesn’t appear on spore.com then it may be due to mods

I have gotten both "creation was not successfully shared" and also what I call "fake sharing" which is when it has the green shared icon, but it does not show up on the sporepedia website, and you cannot leave any comments on the creation in-game. I am still having this issue.

I also do not have any mods installed

The former should be fixed now
There is one case where it can happen, that is when sharing from inside the editor, no fix for this one but it should be fine if you save and exit the editor, then share

The latter, are these creations made during the campaign game? Due to a bug this may happen, only workarounds are either editing, resaving, and reuploading these creations manually, or logging out before playing a campaign game

The game does force a logout if there are any online errors, just a precautionary thing to make sure it can't make the errors worse

also for the solutions, I had not played a campaign game when I made the most recent creation, and I did try editing a minor thing, saving, and uploading it again, but it doesn't work

sometimes they do upload successfully but only on the first try, I can't figure out what seems to trigger it

The only other known cause of the "creation was not successfully shared" error (aside from sharing inside the editor, and the occasional server issue) is if the internet connection drops while uploading the data

Yes you need to save and exit the editor, then open the sporepedia to see it, and then share it from there
Restarting the game should not be necessary, though that will re-log you in which could theoretically make a difference?

Since it was a while back, first thing right-click C&C in your steam library, go to Manage > CD Keys

#

See if it shows a 20-character code (do not post the code here)

If it does show a code, redeem it at https://myaccount.ea.com/cp-ui/redemption/index

If it does not show any code, you'll need to go through EA support and provide them with your steam receipt so they can manually add it to your account

For C&C, you will probably need to go through EA Help and have them manually add it to your EA account, check out #1290776608470204477 or #・online-registration for the full guide

The Games Owned badges on spore.com are pulled from your EA account, and the spore server doesn't have access to your steam account so that is why this is needed
Creations using parts that it doesn't think you "own" are hidden from the site, but still technically uploaded http://www.spore.com/sporepedia#qry=ast-501120053771:sast-501120053771

Hmmm yeah in that case EA Help will have to sort it out, they can add new entitlements for C&C and GA to your account, as long as you have proof-of-purchase from Steam
