Hey, sorry if this is a dumb question, but is it at all possible to update Origin Spore to the newest version? I can't find a way to open the game through Origin directly since I can't open Origin without getting the "Download EA App" popup, so I'm stuck launching it through the Mod API. Is the EA App the only way, or is there a way to get around it? I'd really rather not uninstall Origin just to get the EA App since I've heard it has problems loading Spore. Any help would be very appreciated, thanks!

I thought orgin got discontinued and replaced with ea app
I use the EA app and it works great for Spore. Better than the Steam version I used at first.
Although I also don’t use the EA app as frequently as most since I only have Spore and 2 star wars games on there so maybe there’s issues with it that I am unaware of

If you use that one github project it bypasses the popup and lets you use origin - the new version works fine on origin still
That being said this is all not officially supported at this point, and I think the EA app issues are supposed to be resolved

What's the github project? :O I've never heard of it before
So would you say it's better to move to the EA App and update it there, or just update through Origin and stick with that?

Used the github project to get around the pop-up- but now my game list won't load, and launching Spore through the desktop shortcut I had isn't updating the game. At the very least, is it possible to download the EA app without uninstalling Origin so I can update it that way?

Origin is actually better for Spore than EA Desktop - it keeps the files of GA and Core Spore separate, and also allows GA to work.
