I really love the look and atmosphere of this game, and I’d hate to see that broken by out of place or overly flashy cosmetics. My friends and I really value immersion, especially in a tactical horror game such as this, and seeing something too bright or goofy would take us right out of it.

I just wanted to ask for confirmation that nothing too crazy or immersion breaking will be added later on. I attached an example of what I mean, it’s just a bit too bright and would really stand out in a way that doesn’t fit the game’s tone. It is just across the line of not alright, but it still is too far.

We have no such confirmation, but the game will be funded by cosmetics and the like, so expect a solid number of them. I have seen nothing to confirm or deny super flashy cosmetics, like COD or Fortnite level, but based on the trailer I don't see anything too immersion breaking happening

I personally would be happy if the cosmetics were limited to armbands and gear type, flag patches and maybe a little paint smear on the helmet, but that's not enough to fund a game

One of my friends is very interested in the game, but he is hesitant to actually play when it comes out because of the monetization and how bad this kind of thing has gotten lately, especially with titles like Fortnite and Call of Duty doing the way they are.

Right, and that is what I told him. He said that he would prefer dropping $20 on the game and have no cosmetics than a battle pass and cosmetic shop.

that's my thought, but the cosmetics are also optional, so I can't really understand him quitting a game over that. I just hate COD and Fortnite in general. Mainly because of the people who play it

He isn't quitting he just is much more hesitant and he said that if he sees one bad skin he will probably leave

If the studio is still the same group of people as before, there's nothings to worry.
But Tencent's upper management often exerts revenue pressure and even replaces studio personnel.

one of the problems i have with games these days is that they never update the in game shop but constantly update their premium services. Even then the in game shop mostly just has recolors. Very curious to hear about the plans with that
