  1. The resource collector must be able to automatically salvage the wreckage! The shortcut keys for mining and salvage may be separated, but there must be a shortcut key for automatically salvaging nearby wreckage!

**2. Double-clicking the group number key cannot display the currently selected number mark for ALL units.**This is really annoying!

  1. Newly built ships must have an optional default state. For example, newly built ships can enter active mode by default.

  2. There must be a shortcut key for units to join the formation! Instead of having to re-click the formation button from the question mark every time to set the formation.

  3. Formations often fail easily during combat. It should not be so easy for players to make their squads lose their formation.

  4. Set up a quick selection method for commonly used formation plans! ;Instead of having to click on the right-click menu and re-select every time, which is too troublesome

  5. I use a MacBook Pro to run it through wineskin. After playing for a period of time, the memory usage will become very high. I hope to launch a Mac-specific version and optimize the memory management problem.

  6. As for the special abilities of units, I hope all of them have shortcut keys to use!

9. I cannot use the shortcut keys of the shortcut right-click menu on macOS because macOS does not have an alt key. I hope this problem can be adjusted.

  1. I think it also should have a unit leaving group shortcut.For example, usually a unit may joined in several groups, but I need it to be just belong in one group, I need a method to make it to leave a group quickly

I have thought of this much for now, I will add more later.

I won’t comment too much on topics such as plot and cutscenes. I just hope that the development team can optimize and improve Homeworld 3 in terms of gameplay, so that Homeworld 3 can become a game that players like to open and play at any time!

#9 you can on a Mac. I don’t have mine in front of me, but I’ve done it a lot, it’s either the control, or option key plus right click in space after selecting a unit.

In HW 1, if you put units in a formation, the game would consider the entire formation as one unit in selection. You could re select a formation of units with a click on one of the units. The second click on the same unit selected only that unit. It was simple and intuitive. I kind of miss this kind of feature in HW3. It would clean up a lot of messes when selecting and commanding units in combat.

I would already be happy if instead of a toggle formation button, the button would open the "direct formation select" menu (right click on the formation menu in the lower left of the UI) and permitted me to directly select one of the formations by pressing 1-9 buttons. It would be 2 button presses, but still be a lot faster if you used the keyboard,

Also, many integral functions in the game are either hidden or poorly explained. The HW style orders window can be brought up with alt-right click and provides many direct control features for your selected units... Unless you checked the key bindings beforehand and tried them all out, you might never know about it. Also, retire/scuttle and self destruct are hidden in that menu. How I searched for those while playing the campaign.

You mean a unit being in 2 control groups (i.e. 1 and 3)? Yeah, that is messy. Maybe the ability in the options menu to toggle between "a unit can be part of multiple control groups" and "a unit will only be part of the last control group it was assigned to and automatically be removed from all previous control groups". That way, a player could decide for themselves what they preferred.

Agreed, I would love to see that reimplemented, and I wish the auto formation sizes where smaller. If I put 40 interceptors into a delta formation, they all group up into separate giant triangles of 8-10. I would have loved that to be something more like 5, kind of like HW2. I was initially disappointed that strike craft weren’t built in groups like HW2, But the HW3 system has grown on me, I just want smaller group formations automatically, or at least let us set a default.

i think to make group number overlapped units to out of a group that player don't wanted, those units player selected should be indicated the all involved group number in the unit manifest

And player just simply choose the units they want to reduce in the group and just click those overlapped units by using the unit reducing shortcut.Btw, this shortcut is exist

Or by another word, devs just should give us a shortcut to deselect a group number we don't want it on a group number overlapped unit
