I think part of the problem is that the current NFL has moved away from the concept of developing rookie QBs because they were drafted in the first round. You get these young guys going to teams with a lot of work to do and put expectations on them to be saviors in their first year and it just isn't viable.

I'm not saying that some guys can't be effective as rookies, because we've seen that they can. I just wish it were more widely-accepted that it's ok to sit a guy and let him learn before throwing him into action.
