#Estela Ultimate Build + Guide

light-linked companions:
Umeko - increases length of misfortune and corrupt (damage buff)
Wolf - solar damage buff (summons are solar + furies is also solar)
alternative:
finnala/Xuan wei/jolder - better survivability (the character doesn't have amazing healing or natural survivability like other characters without c1)
^ wouldnt recommend using the alternatives over the primary 2
Pulse:
Furies III - very very strong pulse, gives self damage buff, with catalyst it auto reloads and does high damage (even without cata the damage is respectable, but not anything insane)
Alternatives:
Ultimatum W/ Fraternity / Glutton - high total damage output if stacks are built up, not a bad choice, solar element
DEL2 Sweet Ears W/ Solidarity / Ensured Yields - also high total damage, arc so different element choice < dependant on a team setting for solidarity's full effect
LMG:
BVD4 Akutaak W/ ALH / Syncopation - high damage, auto reloads, syncopation is really strong < can also overflow the mag which is nice
Alternatives:
Gallows - high damage total, solid DPS, very good catalyst <<< ONLY VOID OPTION
Heir Apparent - i mean yea, shield or whatever, good for defensive but overall kinda eh
Scorched Earth W/ Fraternity + Glutton - high damage potential, annihilation is mid asf, solar
Artifact slot 1:
Nourishing Pact - High healing whenever creating summons, can spam low tiers to heal super fast
Alternatives:
Warding Pact - Provides damage resist per summon alive < quite strong if done optimally
Healing Planetesimal - High healing after casting any ability (your summon doesn't technically have a cooldown, so this can be done often) < limited by cooldown of 10s for the artifact, not the ability
Abundant Planitesimal - Restores health over time after using an ability, strong due to lack of cooldown if used correctly
Resolute Nutation - Weapon and Ability hits grant damage resist, easy to keep applied, solid choice
.
Artifact slot 2:
Siphoning Pact - Summons assisting in final blows grants the user health < doesn't specify it has to be a final blow from the user, just final blows in general, strong passive healing in a team and solo setting
Alternatives:
Binging Planetesimal - Heals based on damage dealt by signature abilities
Retributive Planetesimal - Ability final blows restore health < higher tier combatants give more health back
Ring of Conversion - Converts overflow healing from abilities into overshield < if mixes with C1's ability this could be very strong (UNTESTED)
Artifact slot 3:
Bellicose Pact - raw damage buff for summons, quite nice
Alternatives:
Vigilant Planetesimal - can be used to apply a large damage buff onto summons if done right
Courageous Planetesimal - increases all damage by a solid margin for 10s on ability cast < very strong alternate choice
Artifact slot 4:
Responsive Pact - Casting abilities grants summons high damage for a few seconds
Alternatives:
Resonating Pact - When summons attack the same target as the user, they receive a large damage buff <<< Highly recommend
Rampaging Planetesimal - Dealing damage close to targets grants ability damage bonus for 10s, stacks 10x <<< Highly recommend
Rampaging Precession - Reloading after previous mag lands at least 10 hits grants large damage buff onto weapon
Attribute ranking - Artifact 1/2:
Tier 1:
Defense Boost - High damage resist
Tier 2:
Elemental Resistance - High damage resist to elemental damage (which is more or less all damage you take)
Melee Resistance - High damage resist to enemies nearby
Health Boost - Increased health + damage resist when shield is broken
Healing Bonus - Increased effectiveness from healing (very beneficial from your C1)
Ranged Damage resistance - High damage resist to enemies far away
Attribute ranking - Artifact 3/4:
Tier 1:
Super Boost - large damage buff for super, very nice
Ability Strength - Boosts summon and super damage, very nice
Signature Boost - Boosts summon damage, also very nice
Tier 2:
Weapon Enhancement - literally raw damage, and its a massive boost
Solar boost - boosts Furies << exotic boost, change based on exotic weapon
other boosts - damage boost < dependant on weapon elements
.
personal recommendation is weapon/super/ability/signature
Talent Tree:
C1 for healing is amazing
C3 for summons duration is insanely strong
C6 is a very nice addition
C4 and C5 are strong, but not insane
C2 is notably weaker than the rest, but is still decent
personally, i recommend getting to minimum C3
Gameplay Tips:
Estela is very focused around summons over personal damage, my best tip is to try to keep up summons at all times, and as high a tier as you can
if you dont have C3, this can be quite hard due to their short duration, but even if you have to use lower tiers they are still quite strong
Why focus on weapon damage? Should it be Ability/Sig/Solar/Super? to play into your summons
@sacred narwhal update this smh, it is ability dmg i say that in video too, tier 1 is super / ability / signature
Would you go akutaak over scorched even without dupes for the summon duration? Since scorched earth builds summons faster?
considering your capped on the amount of corruption you can generate a second (up to 10) i would still go for the akutaak
Okay thanks
Help me, i cant decide.... Which one is better, furies III with 2 cats or basic gallows? Please and thx
Well A) furies was already the recommended pulse so yea B) if it has two cats that is about 2k power ahead of your basic gallows
and if you can get your hands on exotic mods for your mythic LMG you can get higher power than gallows would have given you
does anyone know how good ring of abundance and conversion are on T0 estela? i saw a youtube video and someone tried recommending it but failed to point out you’d need T1 (dude also didnt own her so im confused why he made a video)
ring of conversion isnt bad at all cause we already got so much healing
abundance is troll for the exact same reason
i figure he was using fyrous spreadsheet and saw both were "high tier"
globally high tier** but i wouldn't know much without seeing the video etc
i can link it to you if you’d like but i just pulled estela and was doing research on builds, and i thought the reason for abundance and conversion was because of her T1 and thought the healing was low without it.
Her T1 ability doesn’t trigger the effects of Conversion. It is only the natural healing from her Bewitched illusion skill (effectively Tier 1-2 summons healing you once every 2 seconds in combat and Tier 3 healing you every 1.5 seconds). So both work pretty well at T0 the increased healing does get a bit more use at T1 to help maintain higher health and thus the Summons over healing more often.
ok that’s good to know, i’ve been using the pact set for survival but definitely gonna switch out the second slot now, thank you for the info!
how is ring of abundance and conversion on estella.
++ on converse, -- on abundance. We already have so much baked in healing, Warding pact is just so much better
So warding pact and ring of converse it is then
wouldnt that cap just apply to the corruption gain from the passive? i.e. higher RPM is still better since it lets you trigger more accidents per second even if the passive Rate of fire cap is only 600rpm.
tbh i havent played much of estela so im not entirely sure
all i know for certain is that the cap on corruption you can generate a second is 10, so it doesnt entirely matter which one of the LMG's your going for
i however can say that within my guild people are primarily using tha akutaak for damage as it is better in most situations (only acception from them seems to be calamity << they are currently number one in calamity EU, master 1 with 395k)
#videos-and-streams message video edition for those interested
It’s pretty split and it comes down to preference and the shield of the activity but yeah both weapons hit the corruption cap fine and that’s what matters
I guess I'm not understanding what is meant by the "cap", I see the passive and can see where it says corruption "cap" per second is 10. But also I can test in the practice range for 2 minutes and see that scorched earth just gives more corruption than akutaak and its not particularly close either. Able to summon a level 3 summon several seconds faster in every condition but during ult where its only 1 to 1.5 seconds faster.
anything firing below 600 RPM is a -- when building summons up. I get 1m extra damage using scorched over a god roll BV4D
over a minute
Also I have gallows at c2 and it is pretty much on par with a scorched earth with good rolls. I currently prefer the versatility of furies
Is this theoretical or have you tested? I'm running abundance atm and I can accumulate 2k in overshields often if 3 summons up. But I haven't tried warding and fearful of spending resources again since I spent quite a lot on abundance
you can easily get that without abundance as well. I run warding and try to get healing bonus attributes. very easy to cap your overshield
Is Estela good/usable in end game content (solo/group) at T0?
I got her since I do enjoy summoner playstyles in a lot of game and this was a first for destiny
but now I want to save up pulls for insane titan characters
also @limber bolt the original message with the video link has been deleted?
Yeah apologies for that, turns out it wasn't allowed to be posted unless it was a link to the #videos-and-streams channel
🫡
Is anyone starting to build gallows for next update?
I already have gallows max
Altho this guide isn’t the best atm, it’s a bit outdated (and with the coming changes stuff might shift)
Seems like Heir Apparent might be S tier
eh, mayb
idk, i dont think itll be that much better - defo nice but not like insano
I’m contemplating that. With ning being better usually for rapid fire, I figured I’d optimize estela for spread
