#How can I play on Mac?
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Im having the same issue and seen in game that bluestacks is usable.
There are plenty of similar threads and there are very limited solutions that are frankly very convoluted. The devs have not made it possible as of now to play on Mac via emulators. A lot of us are waiting for a fix which we don’t know when it will come
Im going to try mumu player. Heard that works but def dont want to pay to play it. Hope it gets fixed soon.
Currently not possible to play on mac, bluestacks doesnt support mac and mumuplayer wont open destiny rising
Yes there are different solutions
I play on playcover with a controller
you got the IPA from decrypt day?
Never had any problems with decrypt day
Been using it for like years with all sorts of games
If it helps, I also used ipa and it works safely.
I am using play cover but it doesnt recognize my keyboard
and mouse?
my mouse doesnt work, It only acts as a finger, not how youd expect a mouse to work
I believe you have to use a external mouse and a extenral keyboard
Maybe a controller if you have one
Yes I use an external mouse. It doesn’t register
Maybe because it’s Bluetooth?
I don’t, unfortunately
Probably a bug, when i first launch it it does recgonize my keyboard, then it stop doing it, so yeah, we will have to wait
For anyone on Macs, I have a solution that may work for you.
My specs:
Apple M4 Max with 16-core CPU, 40-core GPU and 16-core Neural Engine, 128GB unified memory, 2TB SSD storage
Use PlayCover and download the IPA from the decrypt.day site. Don’t pay, just refresh until it’s free. I used Firefox with uBlock Origin to avoid ads and dangerous links/downloads.
Once inside of PlayCover, download Destiny: Rising. BEFORE loading the game, go to the emulator settings and turn off “Keymapping.” Set “iOS Device” as the newest iPad (iPad Pro 7th Gen M4).
Resolution set to 1440p
Aspect Ratio to 16:10
Resolution Scalar to 1.0
Go to the Misc tab in Settings and set Application Type to public.app-category.games
Once in the game, I personally have my settings for Graphics as Custom/High/Max
Works as long as you don’t leave the game’s screen and use a controller. You can import an MnK custom profile, but I don’t know anything about that.
I hope this helps, see you out there, Guardians.
i think a safer solution is if Netease added M series macs to the supported list of devices. but that's upto them.
the Mumu Player for MacOS doesn't seem to allow Destiny Rising to run either so there's no point in trying. Also the Fact that it's a subscription model. Seems pointless. They just need to toggle mac support in the app release. It's not difficult.
Everyone is enjoying the game meanwhile us Mac users man 🙁 the FOMO is real
I have an MBP M3 Max. Use Playcover and IPA from dectypt.day. did what you did but the game donesn't pick up the xbox controller I have paired via bluetooth. I did check with an app and tre controller is definitively working ok on the Mac but just not on Destiny Rising
is it possible to play with keyboard and mouse?
I hope developers will add options to play trought mac )
