the main way to get XP is using energy, but it is possible to get it in other ways. Doing the objectives of each map gives a little XP, lumia and draws; doing character missions also gives a considerable amount

Nope, keep in mind that during the first days there was a lock that didn’t allow you to level up until the next day.
I think that now with the campaign unlocked you can level up more easily. + using your daily energy gives you a lot of XP

I'm confused about attribute transfer on artifacts and I don't want to do it backwards and eat my good artifact.

I have two exotic artifacts which are the same base. One has high stats but the wrong stats and the other has the correct types of stats, but low rolls.

In the screen where it shows attribute transfer changes, the stuff on the right is what I'm going to end up with?

what happens if you pull a character you've maxed the talent tree for?

not sure you can make that many mistakes by team level 19... the most important things are

1. Reset any characters you don't like / are redundant with each other before you finish campaign
2. Spend your first mythic and exotic mods on whatever character you're maxing first
3. Focus on one character since there's a bunch of unlocks behind a single character being high power
4. Don't dismantle exotic artifacts, even if they're bad, you might need them to hit power thresholds and they're hard to obtain

The game is good about giving you a lot of opportunities to get the scarcer resources each weekly reset, so with a little patience you'll be able to recover

It’s always better to exchange for limited draw. exchanging for standard draw is what you don’t want to do because you get more pulls of that over time. While you barely get any limited draws

That’s something you can farm passively via draws. It’s still better to exchange for limiteds. As a f2p or low spender it’s always better to go for more chars over one super strong one. It’s like 20 limited pulls or one dupe standard unit. The 20 limited pulls could bring you closer to Gwynn or Estella which is stronger than said standard unit

its not needed, its just more story don't try to force it by spending pinnacle energy on a character you don't like. if you want the story just play the character and eventually you will get it unlocked. but also you don't need pinnacle energy to get proficiency, you can get a small amount by doing well (in gauntlet blitz you can get 3 for doing good) so its possible, just alot slower

this is my big mistake for my first account, spending energy to all char to finish all quest, thanks ur information. so now i wanna to try to build again with my second account to be better. wish slowly and mor be patient

This isnt specified in the UI, so alot of people arent aware of it it, but you can get a small amount of proficiency from completing commissions as that character. So if you have no intent of using them but do want to see their quests / get the rewards, just load them up with stuff that overlaps from other characters, and do commissions on them each day. Each of the three quests will give +5 for a total of 15 proficiency a day that you can get without needing to get gold medals or spend energy.

This works out to needing to do commissions on a character for 12 days to fully unlock their questline, if you dont use them for any other purpose.

You can get leaves or an entire free draw per day from feeding the cat the fish it wants. I don't know all the spots but I usually go to a table in the bar place, up the left stairs in the main haven spawn, or by the speaker. Run around haven and look for the cat circle on the minimap if you can't find them (and people aren't asnwering), they don't show up in the full map tho even if you zoom in.

You can enhance their stats on this screen, it might take a bit of investing at times but the substats are all you need to roll for since you can grind the stats themselves higher.

Alternatively, if you have a copy of the same mod that has really high numbers, you can use the attribute transfer button to take the substats of one mod and the stat numbers of another.

They are both strong DPS. Gwynn is very close-range during combat, while with Estela you fight from farther away. My advice is to pick the one you like best.

Technically speaking you are better off with Estella as Gwynn and Jolder share impact + void while Estella lets you handle solar + rapid better than wolf can. But I agree with ThaWalife it’s up to you. A few people don’t like Estella because they don’t like the playstyle. She is very slow and stationary (and her light link companion ability supports that with gaining more damage when she isn’t moving) so if you aren’t a fan of long range combat she won’t be the pick for you

It takes the numbers from the one you are transferring to, and transfers the actual perks onto those numbers, yes. Before you confirm it shows you the stats so you can make sure you didn’t do it wrong (I’ve done it the wrong way a couple times while rushing too, so it happens lmao)

You’ll have to farm them til the end of time given you need a billion of the enhancement things, a dozen protons, 4 copies total of each exotic, etc. I’d say hold as much pinnacle as possible (don’t let it burn from overflow though) until reward level 8, but you may need to spent some pinnacle to get there.

Almost nothing is timegated now so holding pinnacle is much easier

200 isn’t enough to max out an exotic I’m pretty sure lel, it takes so much. Legendary campaign and calamity will be the biggest renewable sources of them, besides random shops that come up which those can’t be predicted.

I wouldn’t rush the leveling too much. If you are itching to get into high level content then go for it, but since you started a tad bit late, you don’t need to grind a ton and try and compete and stay with everyone else, which I almost envy.

Somewhere up here (found it, replied) is a list of daily, weekly, and monthly things you can do to use as a checklist, if that helps organize it in your brain.

It doesn’t include some grinder things in detail, like you can run iron bar or sparrow racing near infinitely for mythic drops, but other than that it’s great.

It should work but I can’t promise since I haven’t tested it. Tans dot works as an ability for singularity, so it should work with artifacts, but they work very weirdly so who knows at this point

Like with Estela companion effect if you jump it’s gone, but as long as I don’t sprint with illuminated ground I seem to keep the damage while goomba stomping dregs

It is her character effect, where you can link characters to others. This thing, bad crop sorry. Each character has their own effect that applies to them, and you can select 1 (or 2 with an acclaim upgrade) from other characters you have

Some are just 20% extra hp or shield, others are like Estela’s and give like 10% more damage. It’s probably multiplicative, haven’t tested exactly how much it helps, but I definitely notice the difference.

Another question when farming artifacts is it better to run like 100 rounds of heroic in a row or just keep reseting for mastee difficulty (i kinda just assumed it gave extra rewards without knowing if it actually does)

They don't give different rewards, you just get more chests at the end.
Normal gives a single chest, Heroic gives two, Master gives three and has you fight one of the bosses. Master can theoretically be done faster with a high levelled character due to the boss stages being able to be done faster than the lengthy gauntlet or point defense style elite stages.

Yeah, you regional leaderboard is based off of your IP's location. You can manually change it, but not often. Useful if, say, you live on the border of a state and the game got confused and put you on the wrong side of a border (this was me in alpha)

How are you getting your numbers? I went to the practice range. My stock level 70 partridge does no more than 2k damage per heavy attack damage instance. The math from getting it to +10, level 80, and full cata wouldn't even triple its damage.

My mythic sword in the same scenario is doing 168k on the heavy swing.

Because everyone who played Gwynn posts pic of them outdps Estella while there are an equal amount of pics where the opposite is true. Though when actually doing premade activities it’s seen that they have similar. So you kinda have to do premade in order to figure out who is better. Matchmade just winds up with getting people who don’t know how to dps the boss

Here's another way to put it actually.
I have two double mythic perks of the same sword. Same mods slotted in both. Both level 80. One has double swing speed perks, and the other is low health enemies take more damage and light attacks enhance the heavy. Like a 200 power difference between them because of an exotic mod enhancement.

The heavy attack centric sword has like triple the output of the other.

• edit. Tested 10 seconds dps between them with near optimal combos. Heavy attack sword has double the dps and significantly more ammo efficiency implying more total damage.

Ive tried heroic enemies, normal enemies on dynamic. Ive tried level 90 and level 1 on set level. Ive been getting the same numbers across yellow bar servitors and brigands.

Roughly the same % difference between the mythic and exotic in all cases.

I always recommend testing in the Servidor shinka, because you have a limit time to do damage, so its the same for everyone testing, he stays still, the precision hit its easy to land (like issakis)

Im surprised people consider partridge at all on Jolder. A stack is consumed every time a sword deals damage. You basically forfiet a variable 0-100% damage multi just for equipping partridge. Mythic heavy reliably takes advantage of high stacks.

Ah. My mythic's weapon mods provide a 45% total damage increase to charged heavy specifically. Unsure how the math math's.

The mythic perk of interest is: 27% and +5% enhanced to charged heavy damage, 3 stacks to both. Stacks from light attack hits. The perk also gives sword energy per light, so you can do 3l1h every single time, even with massively increased swing speed from Bubble.

im missing out on an extra 92% damage from cat stuff, took a min to fix artifacts bc they were messed up from expanse.
light attack does 12071 per light, total of 68.9k on heavy. doing *0.6896552 on your heavy (just did 145 and put in numbers until it was very close to 100), it does 71420

so my near base partridge is probably on par with your mythic without mods and such, and while yours is easier to minmax, partridge has a lot more potential

also my artifacts are still bad lel

i added up the particle damage (was like 6891 or smth) since its just 10 particles so *10. for bringing your sword down, you said 45% increase. i went to calculator and found that long decimal number which brought 145 to like 100.0000002 (its close enough to 100), then tossed your heavy damage number in place of 145

Weapon Mods are imo fair to include here as you would include catalysts in ideal circumstances. Let me do some math where I equate my mythics light attack to my partridges and then adjust the mythics heavy from there though.

254k. So slightly higher than my heavy.

Also remember that each stack is an additional 9% damage as Void damage. So at 10 stacks the hit to consume a stack is 1.9x. At 1 stack? 1.09x.

But let's play devils advocate and assume im missing out on better mods (I am). Brb.

With fully leveled and optimal mods, I have an additional:

• 9% weapon damage
• 5% charged heavy attack damage
• 15% swing speed (which directly translates to 15% more heavies)
• 20% minimum damage. Assuming this does anything.
• Enhanced Culture Clash, stating 8% increased damage.

We also never accounted for the entire other perk on my sword, annihation. Up to 1.45x and an additional 1.2x more, based on enemy current health

I am now all but confident in saying mythic just crushes partridge if you have the right roll.

"Annihilation is giving 6% - 13% buff. And conjugation is 18% at lvl 5"

My gwynn is struggling with 66k, then I checked the artifacts they are exotic but godly bad rolls of other types and stuff... So I'm trying to rebuild my gwynn with just mythic artifacts so my power will be 63-64k

The stage 30 boss is the Knight. You know how in the transition the Knight normally spawns two sets of two knights in the siderooms? One of the two sets is instead an impact shinka that is absurdly tanky even at 65k power.

Your exotic weapon is probably the biggest thing, you’ll need duplicates of the same weapon for future catalysts, giving 1k power for each one. Also 400 power for each node unlocked.
Which will require using pinnacle energy on the legendary campaign missions.
Also make sure your Mythic weapon has double mythic perks, they give more power… then get weapon mods on that weapon and upgrade them… i’m assuming your Relic abilities are already at least lvl 16-18… then lastly your Exotic artifacts in each slot, they give a lot of power each.

it depends on what are u missing to upgrade, everything is important. But the most used resource are the fruits... they are used for Abilitys, Artifact gild, Weapon Mastery, and farming them you also farm artifacts, the material to enhance them, to refactor them.... and each chest only cost 10 energy

Im not saying to farm only Chaos, but at my stage rn (lvl80, acclaim 36, characters 65k+), Its the only thing I daily use my energy... besides the weekly stuff (Raid, Legendary Campaign)

frat beats it rn because of how many perks are bugged, practically none of the damage numbers give the buffs they say and all 3/4 column perks are additive with eachother. the reload and handling from frat having an upgrade helps too, and technically more uptime (the harder the content, the better frat is over trinkle, bc trinkle relies on people not taking much damage)

if perks were fixed tho, trinkles 10% extra edge over frat would matter a bit more and it'd probably be a tie then. still personal preference, it is for anything, use 2 blues if you want, but frat should be better rn

there are no guides out there yet. you want anni-vector on the scout and izinagi.
for artifacts you want ring of abundance/conversion, and calming token/illuminated ground. subperks for first 2 are defence boost, elemental boost, healing boost (NOT RECOVERY), and overshield boost. for second 2, you want solar, damage bonus, ability strength/weapon, and vulnerability/super.
vulnerability if you are solo, but running high end stuff umeko should have it since it goes based on highest on team. weapon vs ability strength is a tossup iirc, solar is def the biggest thing on tan tho and damage bonus helps bc his ult.

the substats for artifacts can be annoying and take a lot of resources, so handle that once you get most of tan (and others you want to build) done first, or do 300 levels of chaos a day to pray the basic rewards work. only other really impactful thing, besides just getting the right exotic mods obv, is making sure the mag mod is fire rate

For the current event raid (eclipse) I've seen many teams either do jolder tan or double tan (one healing ult one dmg ult), it's really nice to be able to focus on boss dps and not die to other enemies during dps phase (especially on harder difficulties)

Found the hints, and apparently reading one (at least on Bluestacks) bugs it out so that the hint covers your screen when not viewing another UI screen. Thankfully a relog fixes this.

Apparently pressing the home-shaped key in Esc menu fixes the above issue, but weapon zooms are still borked.

And the zoom issue remained even after a log-out, let's see if relaunching the game fixes it...

So, each weapon has three mod slots. Sight, Magazine, Ammo.
The individual mod items you get target weapon archetypes, so a Rapid Fire sight cannot be put on a Precision weapon, etc.
When you "equip" a mod to a weapon, that specific mod gets locked to copies of that weapon. So, if I get a rapid fire sight and put it on a Wolfpack, I will not be able to take that mod off of the Wolfpack to put on a Sworn Oath, but it will be available for future copies of Wolfpack. You can equip multiple mods this way and change them out, for whatever reason you desire.

Theres one Ammo mod, one Scope mod, and one Magazine mod for each gun. Each of those can roll different Perk Upgrades. Those upgrades need to allign with the traits on your mythic weapon to activate the last trait effect

Weapon mods are an important factor of increasing your light level. When you max level a weapon mod it gives a pretty significant boost to the power of that weapon.

Get rank 5 mythic mods and max them out, you can dismantle them later for a partial refund of the materials you get. This will work for increasing your power until you start getting exotic mods that match the perk roll for the weapon you desire.

Increasing light for acclaim is pretty important, because acclaim is how you start increasing your odds for getting stuff like exotic mods.

There's a little number in the corner of the mod. On mythics, as soj said, the number should be a 3, 4, or 5. This makes the perk slot associated with the mod slot more powerful.
Sights power up the origin trait, magazines power up the left column perk, and ammo powers up the right column perk.

You want to go for mythics with a boost number of 5, as they'll give the highest power increase.

If you run out of astantine to level them up with, you can do Morgran's Prey to get more, or dismantle junk mods. I'm currently in the habit of dismantling anything level 4 or lower, but use the highest ones you have for now.

Exotic mods have an extra bit that enhances super specific perks. I'd look at what the perk enhancement is on the exotic mods before you equip them to anything, so that you don't put a mod on a weapon that can't have that perk. Sights in particular are tricky, because origin traits can't roll differently, thus meaning that exotic sight mods are effectively for a specific weapon foundry.

Paranoia is the origin trait for Heron weapons. This one talks about swing speed and light attack hits, thus it is for the sword. Clicking on relevant weapons shows me the two weapons that actually have Paranoia possible.

Largely my understanding is just look at what perks give the highest damage percentage increases, assuming they aren't bugged, and go for those.

It's crude but oftentimes effective.

Well we test perks to see what their real-world damage boosts are, as they don't always match the descriptions. From there you can just math out which perks give the most damage. We haven't gotten to do much testing in the launch version yet though because we were busy leveling up/doing raid race prep, but once this raid ends we'll start doing more in-depth testing. As of right now the only things I can tell you for certain are that Annihilation gives a ~20% damage boost over the full duration of an enemy's health at level 5 (13% for the first 1/3, 21% for the middle and 28% at the last third of an enemy's hp), shiver gives a 21.8%/41.6%/62.4% increase at level 5, and damage bonuses from weapon mods are additive with each other

Courageous should definitely be replaced as soon as possible, it's a weaker boost that's harder to trigger. Other than that they're fine for everything outside of speedruns and calamity. Don't bother about grinding for a better shotgun roll for now unless you need the extra power from having a second mythic perk, you'll get enough parameters just playing the game

The highest rarity one you have access to, with the highest perk level. For an exotic mod you'll want to match the exotic perk enhancement.
Mods have randomly assigned stats, so for the goal of magazine size you'll just need to find a mythic or exotic mod for that weapon's type with the magazine capacity stat on it.
