Hello Lightbearers! Ever wondered what it takes to be the first to conquer this challenge? We interviewed the team that claimed the first clear of the Eclipse Raid! The team members are: Kironi, x7ide, @willow yew, @graceful heron , @open jackal , DAN1LDA.They’re sharing their team story, clearing tips, and hopes for the game. Let’s dive right into their answers below!
Q：Tell us about your team! Are you long-time partners or a temporarily assembled group? What brought you together?
A：We've known each other for 4-5 years. We have common interests - raids and challenging activities.
Q：What kind of attachment do you have to Destiny games? And if any of you haven’t played Destiny games before, what made you choose to join and play this one?
A：Almost all of us have been playing since the release of Destiny 2 in Steam. It was fun playing with other people. At that time, unique gameplay and system of classes, abilities and equipment allowed us to create various builds which were fun.
Q：Have you achieved similar outstanding results in other raids modes before?
A：Yes, some of us cleared contest raids in Destiny 2 and there were good results - Top 100 Vow Of The Disciple, Root Of Nightmares and Crota's End.
Q：Did you ever imagine you would be the first-clear team before achieving it? What was your reaction the moment you completed the raid?
A：No, we didn't. We just wanted to enjoy it and see what has been changed in terms of mechanics. At first we couldn't believe it, but in the end, it was a very pleasant surprise for us.
Q：How would you rate the Eclipse raid? What were the most interesting and most challenging parts of it?
A：10/10! Second encounter was pretty challenging and mechanicly interesting. And that's why you needed good communication within the team.
Q：What key clearance tips did you use? Which phase helped you save the most time?
A：Teamwork and communication were very important. We saved the most time on the second encounter after we figured out the mechanics.
Q：When facing unexpected tough spots during your first clear, how did your team use communication to navigate through them quickly? What key communication methods did you rely on?
A：Team composition was crucial. We prepared a couple of characters in advance, and before the encounter we assigned characters to try to cover as many roles as possible. Knowing the basic mechanics of the raid encounter also helped a lot because we could guess how the mechanics had been changed.
Q：What weapons and perks did you use？What advice do you have for regular players looking to clear the raid efficiently?
A：We used concerto, furies III, idzanagi's burden and partridge sky. For mythics we used eternal retribution with karmic reward, scorched earth and total lockdown with allocation vector. The best advice we can give is that team composition is very important, dont neglect it.
Q：What are your expectations for the future of Destiny: Rising?
A：In our opinion, there are enough casual activities at the moment, and we would like to see more activities like raids and dungeons, but of course, we should not forget about the balance between them. Also, it would be very cool if there was a PC client. We hope that the game will continue to develop in the right direction.
This first-clear team’s journey is built on years of teamwork and a love for challenging gameplay. As the game grows, we’ll keep bringing you updates on new modes and fun community events, so stay tuned! 🎉
