This is an alternate timeline, much much earlier in the history of the Last City than D1 or D2 are. Ikora is a very old Lightbearer, but this happens before she's quite as big of a legend as mainline timeline.
As secretseller mentioned, Haven is an outpost for the construction of the Last City. The two plot arcs in the game right now are about building infrastructure and resources to actually make the construction of the city possible.

Issue: The screen keeps flickering/flashing lights during gameplay, especially in bright areas.
What I tried:

• Turned off HDR, Bloom, Shadows
• Set Graphics to Medium, FPS 30 (or 60)
• Changed refresh rate to 60Hz
• Cleared cache, reinstalled the game

But the problem still happens. Could you please check if this is a known bug and if a patch/update will be released for MediaTek devices?

The game directly acknowledges that it's an alternate timeline in a few ways: there's Ikora diary entries discussing it, as well as lore tabs for the Destiny 1/2 exotics that are in this.

That hunter was a dredgen, not the dredgen. Dredgen Yor was killed a long time ago by Shin Malphur. However, he had a lasting legacy in the Shadows of Yor, a bunch of guardians who recreated their own copies of Thorn in the pursuit of power.

We actually find the original Thorn in D2 and turn it into Lumina. Every other Thorn you see is a copy, not the original.

No, they were not Warlords, they traveled more like a nomadic band that dealt with the harshest of the Warlords. In fact, there is a lore piece about Radegast asking them to gather anyone else that they trust to join their mission and Saladin bluntly states that he only trusts Radegast.

Timur is how they gain access to the Peak, because Timur had a walking death wish in stalking Felwinter into friendship.

In its ‘dying breath’ it made ghosts which resurrect people to act as a basically undead army to protect what’s left of humanity in the new world

You know, it's funny looking at the unfinished kinda Tv Tropes page for this game and seeing it point out things that change from canon lore that i ENTIRELY missed:

The feild Forged weapons were made far more early by different people

The Shadowkeep KI weapons are on earth and relics

Eliskni relationships are slighty better and slowly mending in Haven much earlier thannks to Kevarrah joining Haven rather then when it happened in canon with Mithraxx (though still not really what one would call GOOD)

The Tree Of Silver Wings is A: On Earth and B: Not an artifact of doom (as far as we know)

Crota's sisters are already on Earth/the Moon/The Ascendant Plane rather then chilling with Oryx

The Nine revealed Unknown Space early but only to Wolf

The Black Armoy weapons exist earlier and they Armoury people itself may have survivred.

The Fulminator is a Golden Age Weather Controling Machine and not a alien mass of living arc enerngy messed up by Emperor Calus (Again, as far as we know and also incidently probably the weirdest one there.)

And Kabr is both 100% more alive and 200% dumber then portrayed in canon. I assume he's not been traumatised by the Vex yet.

Do you want to use an ability two times? Then, talent tree can help you with that.

Yes. Collecting duplicates of characters gives you an item that makes each character stronger the more duplicates you get of them. For instance, Jolder's first dupe makes it so that when she shield slams at >=60% rage, her SMG gets unlimited ammo, is put at max stacks of her weapon ability, and her weapon ability decays slower.
Getting duplicates of characters is very important in gacha games.

||Theere was some kind of juiced up abomination super shank with impeneterable armor chasing us on a sparropw and nothing we did could really kill it. Radagast wished it away. This would backfire on the ahamkara who did it later when said super shank was warped into said Ayhamkara's hunting grounds and started killing all the foes making wishes there so it was starviing.||

Wow the writing in the Red Sea Rift is noticeably improved from the Jiangshi questline, like they were fine as a post apocalyptic story goes, but RSR feels a lot more distinctly like a Bungie-style destiny story which is really encouraging

I mean at their most basic function of enemies and whatnot yeah it's Mars 2, art and map designwise it's a bit more like Io from D2, but then again Io was made from cut content intended for D1 Mars so that's to be expected. But I mean the concepts and character narratives they engage with really up in complexity come the RSR, is it perfect? No. But it shows some really really fast improvement which makes me so excited for future storylines

Like they do a storyline with a heavy focus on the ||Ahamkara wishes|| and it actually stuck the landing without simplifying how they work which is really neat

Imagine, if you will… that there was a Gambit mode, a mode with 6 Teams of 3 Lightbearers.

A Gambit mode that had a mote capacity of a hundred and dropped motes like they’re glimmer, a mode that had a map the size of 4 gambit maps, and that on this map there was a bank that would randomly teleport all over the map, causing players to constantly have to interact with both eachother and opponnents.

And then imagine this mode also had high value targets with their own little personal arena, and then imagine this mode had a randomised modifier for every match… and lastly imagine that it was the premiere focus PvP activity of the entire game

That’s Shifting Gates, and it is a delight

That’s another reason, and frankly why I am glad we will likely never see the darkness stuff.

The witness and their darkness lore in stasis/strand feels so profoundly tied to the tone and aesthetics of D2’s storytelling that I just can’t see it working in rising.

Then you factor in that we only have two guns a person, and every character had like a tenth of the subclass density of a destiny guardian meaning they can just keep pumping out more and more entirely novel lightbearers and I’m just left seeing the only value of the darkness as an aesthetic one.

All of its gameplay mechanics can be justified by the current character based gameplay methods without needing the actual darkness and adding more elements to a game that already has that secondary combat density in the Shinkas (and also much stronger elemental shields than D1/2 [it’s like matchgame 24/7 lol]) there’s just not much need for it

NO NO NO I mean in a good way! Its been soo good revealing cause of the collapse after so many years as well as eating darkness powers and prismatic that people wanted years before. Payoff after many years and Mysteries resolved, and that's what that games story is all about, and now a new buffet called "The Fate Saga" is being served and cant wait to eat again.

Rising timeline though, I feel like starving in the sense that I traveled back in time where I was starved for the first time instead of starving for more stuff. But thats on me.

got finished with Attal's character story and oh my gosh ever since i started playing ive been in love with the eliksni species. getting to see attal teach and raise the orphaned eliksni children for the while is just so sweet.. Love Attal so much with all my heart🫶
very sad though what had happened to the lone survivor but it can be understood why they felt the need to attack but I had a feeling they werent making it.

In the beta, one of the Light-Linked Companions info tabs mentioned Rossi-11 as a character that grants overshield. In one of the ads for the game, there's a screen where they show off ghost shells, and a 4* Arc Warlock can be seen on the left side. They were also in an unused menu tutorial as a recommended character for an activity. Their silhouette was also visible in the RSR Lightbearers section of the MIND on day one, but has since been removed

If I’m not mistaken, beyond things like the endless night and whatever Asher mir was doing with Avalon, there is no real Vex presence on Earth. So the fact that that’s completely different here is interesting. it’s because of the presence of the Traveler that they aren’t really on Earth in Destiny proper I believe

Of course the traveler is now way above the sky and Maya is running around as a rogue so, I’m sure this will change in the future of destiny but it’s worth noting for sure

Lightbearers don't age and get resurrected when they die. Ikora was there to build the last city, same with the drifter…etc. Guardians get resurrected at different times and from different places (and have to bacicly travel on foot to china to get to the last city so some are alive but not seen)

There is no really specific timeline post collapse so we don’t really know

The Collapse was when an ancient paracausal force of Darkness arrived in the Sol System to attack the Traveler. It's post-post-apocalypse, we're in the midst of rebuilding after the chaos. The Fallen arrived a long time after the Collapse.

Said paracausal force of Darkness also attacked Riis, the Fallen homeworld a very long time ago. They tried following the traveler after it left them, and that's why they're here now.

So anyway our characters story so far is that, a collapse happened, the traveler left ghosts(is that the injury on the bottom of it?), and went dormant, the world fell into chaos and warlords with the power of light ruled the aftermath for centuries, during that time the fallen arrived and further made it chaotic, but they are like a scavenger race more so than a formidable invasion or army. Iron lords rose and have beaten most of the warlords and have settlements across the world and the alien threat is now intensifying more so than before with arrival of cabal and the hive and the increased activity of the fallen, so the humans are unifying and trying to build one giant city for humankind to be safe in, is that more or less right?
