Any pre-beyond light content needs to have its scripting (the most important one), lighting and object physics revised to fit within the new engine’s alterations. Not to mention an almost assured battery of Bug-Testing

It is literally, to the letter of definition non-playable right now. But that isn’t irreparable. It would just take a lot of work, probably more than they have hands to do right now post layoffs

I mean they only currently have the resources for one raid and one dungeon a year. Re-constituting what would in essence be like 13-14 strike-sized pieces of content, not to mention several patrol zones would be more than bungie could ever do without support studios imo

Agreed, so many Destiny players don’t know what they want. And while there are definitely criticisms to be made of Bungie, or at least Bungie’s higher-ups, the developers are top-notch. The developers get blamed for stuff that isn’t entirely or at all their fault, and many fans are like selfish and rabid frothing at the mouth rapid dogs that can’t appreciate the developer’s effort, time, money, or resources to even keep the game somewhat functioning

I’m somewhat ashamed to be a Destiny fan, even though that’s stupid. Not because of the “I hate Destiny, it’s my favorite game” nonsense, but because of the “fans”

There is! The multiplayer has a few issues (it's very fickle about when you can be in a multiplayer instance or not and will find any excuse to set you back to solo) but it runs pretty smoothly and is easy crossplay!

Well it's absolutely a scam don't get me wrong, but it's a little higher effort than usual so in the slim chance I was wrong I wanted to be mild about it.

Honestly he just needs a good problem to solve, the biggest issue with his weaker seasons is that he doesn't do enough in them, Dawn was good because he was driving the story forward with a hell of a pace, Splicer (technically) and Seraph were sick because he was acting against other moving parts in the narrative

Echoes, Lightfall, & Curse of Osiris kinda sucked because they constantly wrote him as frustrated with a lack of progress or dismay over the inefability of an antagonist, but then gave him a problem that should have been an easy fix or understanding for his pre-established character and lazily threw him onto the finish line rather than him being the one who gets the Guardians there. Like that kinda story only works if you put him up against an issue his intelligence literally can't help (Like what Splicer pretended he did with the Lakshmi subplot even if that wasn't real official osiris)

Or at least that's my take

They've made him more annoying than anything. He was set up to be this incredible guardian, and he was in his own right, but in recent years he's just been put in place to whine and be overbearing. He irritated me the entirety of Lightfall. To your point, he was wrote as frustrated and they nailed that. But I swear he whined the entire campaign, he yelled at our Ghost, out frustration I suppose (that's a no no for me), all while being reduced to this sideline character.

How long's the grind? I haven't started

TLDR: doesn’t seem long, but it is at its most optimised if you just drop in and play like 30 minutes worth of matches daily for 2-3 days

It’s around 10 matches per rank, for 15 ranks or a total of 150 matches if entirely unassisted.

But each daily challenge completion you achieve gives you 9 matches worth of XP each, and you get three of those per day - or more depending on if you have a challenge reroll, there’s 3 rerolls in the pass and you get one from the tutorial quest.

So in my first five ranks I completely 5 of these challenges (3 dailies, plus two rerolls) and have in kind played about 5-6 total matches so far.

But then there’s also the weekly challenge, there’s only one and it cannot be rerolled but it just requires like 15-20matches played depending on wins or losses and that reward looks like it’s XP+++ which is presumably 3-4 ranks on its own
