meta characters is just purely for expanse, for example, efrideet is better in rapid-fire expanse because she has autoreload and do more burst damage in to an ad, compared to lets say estela where you was most of your time reloading before proceeding to spawn more summons and do sustained dps with her machine gun

meta team comp is specifically for raids and cordon ops, in cordon ops you'd prefer using helhest for team buffs and ikora for ad clear, while using efrideet for pure dps, since it's mostly revolving around what modifiers it has and what element/weapon type is the best for said scenario so you can clear said stage
