Illustrations being gone are a good thing. It removes fomo pulls for character specific cosmetics. They added Condensate in place of illustrations and thats fire. Less budget on useless repeat sparrow, ghost, and emotes and more budget on rest of game.

Estela, Ning, Maru, Wolf have their place in certain areas.

4 Stars aren't usually good in anything outside of normal content aside from Umeko who is useful in Day 1 raids due to her debuff

My best advice for you is to focus on Wolf first and then upgrade a character that fills a role that you need. So if you need void or arc coverage pick one that also covers the shinkas you might meet. It's good to have one for each element and one for each shinka so that is 4 built minimum

I might need to do one more test to see what the rewards actually are if i don’t have increased rewards. It looks like when i sent them out and later switched their power up it still gave me the 10% increase too. So at the moment it is what is the highest at any point before picking up….
