Mine Rescue oobs are useless bc you have to do each encounter to make the next group spawn, and the boss doesn't spawn until the final group does
Labyrinth may have a working oob if I can figure out the proper angle to jump and dodge, but it requires tech I really don't want patched so I won't share it even if I find a way to get it to work
You can oob out of Desperado but can't oob back in anywhere I can tell
Armageddon won't spawn the boss unless you clear the encounter before and create the portal, and I haven't found an oob to that area yet

Is counter just flat out better than the ability emanare, or are they both better in different situations?

I have been running the ability one with the gems for an extra stack, more damage per stack, weapon damage, and movement speed, but I am wondering if counter is better given what it does.

I would definitely say not just flat out better. I haven’t done a huge amount of testing with it yet but I know for my Estela the amount it gives doesn’t compare to ability+weapon damage increase of the other one for me.
