We don't know if the artifacts we have right now will be usable after the update. They could very well get sunset, though I kinda doubt it

Artifacts at lvl 85 will be brought down to lvl 80 so there's no reason to use occultation essence afaik

And yes, artifacts won't be element specific but you can't equip them on more than one character simultaneously

So far in DRing if someone wanted to get every character you would have a very high chance of doing so (there has been F2Pers who have done so I am pretty sure). The last 2 characters could be gotten with completing the event and no premium currency spent too. The main place that talents are needed is for leaderboard chancing content. One of those leaderboard content did give premium currency rewards based on how far you got tho.

World first challenges have all been done with T0 units max, and the challenge mode in those said raids have been T0 as well.

This being said, season 4 changes a lot of what we know and the base character should be easier to obtain now. Exactly how easy we will have to see, they are looking to going to a more grinding method vs the pinnacle quick play method of gearing up too.

Like Forsaken said I am mostly focusing on legendary campaign. Artifact system is changing and you can no longer raise the level of them, so our level 80 artifacts won’t be able to be upgraded to 90 (I don’t remember 90 being mentioned for artifacts but it is most likely happening), so we need to regrind those. Upgrade for mats will be converted so unless you plan to use them for upgrading a character now we can’t promise that the ratio will be good for what they turn into.

Expect a longer grind for god rolls, you can’t power up base stats anymore so you will need to get good RnG or transfer base stats from one to the other it looks like.

That is why I am still holding out hope they keep some form of the system in place, that gives those with limited time an increased grinding rate. I don’t mind the idea of infinite grinding, but to utilize it for longevity it definitely is going to take longer than what I normally give towards games currently.

We definitely are moving into some form of infinite grind. What I mean by that is just no limitation on grinding. For those system to actually have player retention tho it needs to take a while. It could still have daily increased drop rates or something but still allow for infinite grinding.

Part of the grind tho is tied to levels you obtain in the season it looks like. So they are increasing retention time that way too. Not sure how you will obtain said exp.

But we don’t know if that is the case yet, there was nothing that read about being limited to or even increase rewards for first X amount of runs. They are also removing challenge mode keys which was the similar system. Don’t get me wrong I hope for some increase drop rate per day, but without the patch notes saying anything on it it seems more likely a low drop rate farm to heart content type system. They also added more rng to weapons it looks like.

They took the rng from mod farming and put it onto weapons to a degree XD.
