Start by swapping to a mythic bow and using exotic Royal Contravene LFR

Royal contravene is the exotic linear fusion rifle (the one you have 6 copies of). Also without knowing how you play it is hard to say, but you want to try and focus your main damage spikes right after you use salvo. This will activate her weapon mastery for 6 seconds giving auto precision shots on enemies in the target when aiming down sight and increase damage.

Heir Apparent is probably the best option with Gallows as a utility sidegrade, trading effectiveness for ability to take out spread shinkas

Furies places in the middle of the 2 for general effectiveness afaik but again, bp token cost means it should be skipped unless it’s by far the best option, which it isn’t

I upgraded 4 characters to max to test something. What I found is that my power leaderboard placement this week was not evenly distributed. I also noticed on my emea alt, that the titles were not distributed at the same time, they were minutes apart.. Going to take more testing, but I dont think that's what netease intended.

Given how secretive the players I messaged have been, I am also willing to say that there is a lot of foul play being used to obtain them 🙂

The biggest complaints I have with new Ikora is the unnecessary build up of black hole stacks when she’s meant to just spam them anyways (especially since they are on a timer compared to old Ikoras nebulas, so you can’t stack in wait), no new weapon changes as seen with kabr, which is just very shoddy redesign(really wanted a fusion/rocket), lack of variety with the newer artifacts, no viable solar options with her release, her redesign is off putting(would’ve just kept her bald lol), and the lack of first person animation on her sig abilities

I don’t mind her weapon types, just wish a new mythic LGL came out with her. I don’t think them not making her have different weapons is shoddy. It’s just a choice to keep her purely spread and make him feel better behind a shield.

Artifacts always tend to lack in variety. I ended up using Blazar/Blazar/Rampaging/Blazar on her, wouldn’t mind Ring of Abundance or Floating Rift. Her 2nd defense artifact is going to be useful for future overshield units, which is cool.

I actually don’t even know what those lil black hole does for 5* Ikora…

Tbh it’s probably a balance thing. She can spam abilities and proc those way more than 4* Ikora can. It makes sense for them to stay forever since 4* Ikora has such long cooldowns

I say shoddy because I feel a lack of change with weapon archetype felt lazy. Spread is already the type with the biggest lack of shinka variety kill in the current gameplay, heavily struggling with piercing and rapids with, on top of the fact that she essentially plays out like Maru. I say this in the sense that double spread characters are taking the role of room/ads clear as Helhest is so broken she does everything else.

The black holes is what pulls enemies in and is one of the ways to apply Volitile energy to combatants to trigger her weapon mastery.

They are more utility then the black holes that 4* Ikora uses. One of the main reasons (imo) to build up 2 stacks is for slightly larger pull distance (2m more supposedly), and as it can recharge both her skills by up to 50%. The damage having multiple has is linear so having more just means you have less CC avaliable later.

That’s the problem. When the game first launched, the resources were so sparse that you had to really just pick one character to invest time/play into or wait out weeks to steadily raise a few. If you wanted to get the endgame upgrade materials, you had to invest the resources and get good with one character. Gaining weapon upgrade materials at the beginning even kept same-element characters from overlapping too much.

So at the beginning, power scaled pretty steadily with skill and the leaderboards reflected that. However, as time went on and resources got more plentiful (not a bad thing), power level became much more transferable and less an indicator of a player’s actual skill.

Like you said, now power is essentially meaningless in terms of actual ability. I could take all my maxed Jolder artifacts and slap them on Ikora and call it a day. Doesn’t mean I’m a good Ikora player haha

The issue is that now we have a leaderboard of “top characters” that is determined by log-in time lol. Because it used to be relevant and have skill implied.

Even from the start, you could still just transfer from one character to another. Obviously you could still have a main, but being an Estela main wouldn't keep you from placing on Wolf leaderboards, for example. Once you got enough lumenite for two weapons of each type, you could have every char with +10 weapons. The only actual power differences were from people getting higher natural artifact drops and people who invested pinnacle into Morgran for mythic mods

Game theory: When you see a T6 load up, and you’re only t0, t3 etc. For me and probably most. It feels like a healthy competition to see how can get most damage. With Morgan’s Hunt, that’s actually what we are all complaining about on here. We smoke our other teammates in damage and it “wasn’t fun” if we matched with better players it would be far more enjoyable.

I love the idea of a masters mode: 74500k+ limits for Morgan’s hunt with proper awards to match the increased difficulty.

Push people to power up and focus on a character. Plus you can play any character with it. Regardless of Shinka or elemental coverage. There is a lot the can do with them game mode/ legacy.

Matchmaking would take longer but the experience of playing would be a blast.

Yes but the problem with this is that you dont play it correctly. Like I showed in the screenshot earlier, I can output a massive amount of dmg with honk, but this comes at the cost of getting to later rounds. As copyninja taught me, heavy is not to be used on bosses unless absolutely necessary. As the t6, I treat every lobby the same. I want to get those players to 350k and teach them how to do so even if they are below 60k.

Overlords/mini boss. There are always 2. When ikora confines, she pulls the red bars in anyways. I usually go for lysis or whatever its called, and use the other ability to take out the red bars later on. When you get in later rounds, the points always come from the overlords. This is true for all the morgrans. On those special stages where its a real boss, take out everything without using heavy was always best. Super would get conserved too, for HH it was also hoarding the heavy bricks so you can generate it 3 times later on.

Fun fact: they didnt add in the right elements for the mythic primary. Patching it requires more effort, and is why they wont do it. Truth at max can match it, btw, in morgrans.
