Ran into a small group of them yesterday when I got on.

It's definitely harder to tell from an insider's perspective since I have been playing Destiny for years and everything just sort of clicked, but from the perspective of someone who has never played and has no idea what's happening, it seems like they need to streamline the new player/new to Destiny experience a bit.

Still have people come through every now and then who need help with their new accounts. It seems like they can get new players with a bit of effort, but retaining said players is far harder.

This is why they time gated everything off launch, though. Now there is far less of a gate, so people blow through the entire game in a couple days then say there's nothing to do, which is valid to an extent. They're at least expanding content, even if it's bits at a time.

Apparently you can still only do a certain number of story objectives per day, but the gap between hard daily locks is significantly larger based on my friend's new account experience.

get the chalice -> get it to 100% -> the next person grabs it (repeat the steps for the others) -> you get enlightened -> then

• into the abyss: you use enlightened to reset the timer back to 1 minute and activate plates
• bridge crossing: you use enlightened to activate the plate, then 5 enlightened ppl grab the sword and cross the bridge (chalice holder can cross too)
• deathsingers: you use enlightened to grab swords and kill the witches (extra: ppl who grab runes shoot the corresponding runes)
• crota: one goes inside the portal, the 2 ppl submit enlightenment (note: kill the knights so a pool of light appears so you can plan switching ahead of time)
