You want both drones down at all times. Just pick a spot to post up and drop a max lvl dmg drone first, then spam 2 healing drones and level/refresh them as needed.
You’ll get the cooldowns back if u run away from the drones and they despawn

Yes those are the basics, and then when you get that down you have to keep in mind that there's this buff that actually does quite some work. It does extend when you spam the drones, but you want to save charges for DPS phases if possible. If you have a drone maxed, refreshing its duration will not only refresh the duration but also apply this buff for 4s (closer to 6s if you have Attal light link).

For every other mode other than fair play modes, talents do help a lot, but a f2p TECHNICALLY can do all the content, even if it’s more difficult. Even pursue certain leaderboards.
One nice thing is that one of the fair play modes is contest raids, such as the one going on right now, and free to play are on the same level as whales.

That depends on your comp and comfort. But one-phases bosses on encounter 3 and 4 are possible with Umeko ult.

We liked Jolder to bubble the swordbearer during DPS for our first clear, but after experimenting, Umeko was able to provide the same safety with voidstep.

I wouldn't say Jolder is a worthless pick, but I would argue Umeko is better overall imo.

Specifically Umeko did many saves during chalice swaps on Crota as well as covering the swordbearer during duel from ogres, both critical parts where deaths were incredibly likely and teammates had to be doing certain tasks.
