Its extremely tanky just in D2 its literally same mechanic. Breaking it ends damage phase but failure to break it is death.

You can do it with 1

I know from experience in d2 as I did for my team. Since its the exact same mechanic my advice rapid high damage

I am aware but even still the strategy for dealing with the Oversoul is the same; rapid high damage. As you only have a short amount of time to deal with it if you wanna maximize boss damage.
