First encounter: plates gave you a debuff that killed you after it reached 10 stacks
Second encounter: the batteries gave the debuff, and you also had to input the symbols in a specific order
Third encounter: you needed to pick up a buff to kill observers, this buff only lasted for a certain amount of time and after that it had like a 1 min cd. Also the arc waves had to be jumped from phase 1.

Ive just been using the Cbow that gets Syncopation, the arrow detonations and the DoT afterward contributes some pretty decent damage, its been more than usable at any rate

Mahama does too much dmg becauss it has 4 arrows and nothing else burst rapid fire shinka faster. It does double the dmg of arc mythic with Synco prob 1.5x the dmg if annihilation is full force

My mythic arc bow did 5k a shot, my Mahama did 5k per arrow so 20k per shot. My mythic xbow only half maxed mods it should do 10k a shot. Add in Synco and detonation Mahama prob ahead 1.5x instead of 2x.

There's really at max one optimal build and they won't experiment beyond the given sets. As for other things, the bare minimum in any Gauntlet Content is to read. Literally read. They can't even do that

You lose a lot of single target damage from broken nonsensical mess Mahamayuri but a decent roll of mythic can sort make some of that back up.

I run Fraternity/Syncopation on the arc mythic and Fire Rush/Eager Aspirant on the solar. Definitely noticing the damage drop, but it feels better being able to spread as much damage as you do around with Trinity for the draw time.

Haven't gotten the last band yet but so far I like it for its utility. Last one is something like 35% precision damage after two precision hits, so it might close that Contravene gap.

Contravene still blows it away in sustained and total damage if a target isn't shielded, but Arbalest closes that gap a bit with shield breaks since it boosts its damage after a shield break. More importantly, the damage bonus applies to all sources, including teammates.

I personally like the specialist/offensive support playstyle so it suits me well, but the majority of people will probably run Contravene since it just does more with bands 1 and 2 adding Rewind Rounds and... bonus damage, I think? Haven't used it since the launch of broken mistake character.

I am willing to sacrifice a bit of damage for more utility or ease of use. Because of Borealis I can use Tan regardless of shield, for instance, and Allocation Vector on the scout lets him deal with impact and rapid fire shinkas as well.

I use Trinity for the crowd control they are already good with, and I never run into much trouble.

Just got to wave 18 of the party-based tower defense. Could have gotten further if our third hadn't disconnected. Used only purples and blues. After wave 15, it just repeats the same mobs from the same portals. At wave 16, buff cards don't work anymore and at wave 17 you run out of towers to upgrade.

Rossi does not have the best single target damage, but the incoming part I can't explain. They are extremely good at just choosing not to die. Maybe cast the cage on them to absorb the first shot or two since it's functionally a barrier and not only a confinement tool.

Have you never started playing a loot based game well after its launch before? It's a terrible experience if there's no possible way to catch up to everyone else. In most other games you can share loot and help newbies by giving them gear or currency. In a game like this that's energy based that's not possible.
