The meta is to not play anything but chaos. Look at the stats of the top players, and you will see the problem. I saw some guy who hasn’t cleared anything 100 times over the lifetime of the game but was #1. If chaos was only providing fruits, and everything else provided mats to upgrade artifacts, you’d see a lot more power leaderboard players in other activities.

Well yeah the only DR in slot 2 that she can use are Inverted Tenacity (bad, you shouldn't be at critical health on her), Upright Tenacity (same thing), and Unrelenting Evolution (20-30% consistent DR, but not as good as the massive healing from Blazar)

Your EHP is still doubled, but if the one shot deals more than your EHP you'll still get one shot. The only difference number of shots makes (assuming they all hit in the same frame or two) is for stuff like the one artifact that adds Armored when getting damaged and the attributes that decrease damage of the next shot after taking damage of a specific type

It’s not the maru that’s killing u it’s the team of 3 players who are communicating your position. If they aren’t going to let pc players join, then remove fireteams. There aren’t enough players to properly distribute the skill in a way that is fair.

The top end players are just making it worse for themselves. Every time they do this, someone stops matchmaking. Meaning the Q times skyrocket. Over time, the players are likely to quit altogether.

When trying to collect all 9 double mythic perk weapons for a given weapon, I've been holding onto ALL versions until I get the 9 double mythics. Does that actually help the knockout mechanic on the engrams? Or can I ditch all these weapons w/ legendary and rare perks?

Keeping single mythics doesn't affect the knockout. Allegedly (I've kept all double mythics, so I don't know from personal experience) deleting a double mythic does add it back to the possible drops. You can safely dismantle the single/zero mythic rolls tho

It's not linked to the weekly chests specifically. You get a couple each time you complete it with pinnacle. I had like 300 stocked up before I decided I should start using them, and that was from playing pretty irregularly lately.

Doing a mission at bronze medal gets you 15 and there's four missions, so that's already 60 parameters. And then the weekly chest gives you ten and you can get three of those. That's 90, which is equal to a catalyst.
Doing all four a week, which is maybe 20 minutes of gameplay, gets you a catalyst.

I mean of all things, artifacts are quite abundant. 5-10% chance with the snowball fight, decent odds in Chaos, you get the choice chests at a decent pace. The actual RNG issues are definitely some resource abundancies that just don't exist, and the double RNG behind the emblem for the season. Glow drops in and of themselves are low, bright pigment is painful to obtain, and then it's a disgustingly low chance for it to even upgrade. Don't even get me started on getting exotic mods for your required weapon...

Resource quantities compared to Pinnacle Energy spent are also just objectively low. You require so many materials to upgrade your character, yet get so little energy to do so.

I would like to see a different system alongside daily energy. Any overflow energy has a 5:1 rate to turn into Reserves. So if you're gone for multiple days and get for example max cap and 120 the following day, that lost 120 would turn into 24 Reserves.

And Energy costs should be lowered across the board. Chaos should cost 5, because goddamn it siphons your PE way too fast

I mean, I don't work professionally in Game Development, but afaik most games with RNG have very clear values within their code that you can change and then restart the game for to take place. Even just temporarily making at least glow upgrades guaranteed so the only RNG aspect is dropping them from engrams, should not take 4 months

The entire purpose of making the RNG values literal numbers inside the code is the very reason why many games that have mods actually have mods to change RNG, think Brotato or Terraria for example

Like 95-99% of games implement their RNG in that way. It seems Destiny games however are cursed to live with terrible coding systems.

Not exactly true. Store prices and such are also usually very clear values that require little to no change. And btw this works both ways, they've patched issues related to higher prices the day off aswell, the refunds however usually take longer due to having to sift through thousands of player's data

I mean monetization is a given, any company does that. Having fun is not exactly true. They extended the lightweight ammo-less sword damage bug until weekly reset, even though they had a fix for it the day after. Grinding too quickly really isn't an argument anymore since they buffed portal and campaign power gains so much, you end up at 450 when you finish the campaign, and 550 by the time you max out the syndicates

Bungie has their fair share of issues, but compared to the past, they do tend to fix bugs and issues quite a bit quicker nowadays. NetEase however decides to keep the terrible glow system (which thousands have complained about) for another 2 months, while not even making it remotely easier through a bandaid fix that could take a literal week until the major update.

Grinding too quickly was at the start of edge of fate where people could run pinnacle ops quickly and effectively. Now it's better yeah but the portal is still terrible and eliminates 80% of the games content (story, strikes, raids, weapons and armour)

They released Sundered Doctrine in Heresy, and not even 3 months later it became redundant and hidden because no-one looks at the director

I don't agree with your take on TFS story, imo it was a great sendoff for Cayde, Salvation's Edge was a PEAK raid, Excision was a cool surprise, and Prismatic was well interwoven into the story, unlike Strand in LF.

The initial trailer was indeed underwhelming, but that 3-month delay was a blessing in disguise. ITL will remain the best free update ever, and FS (outside of initial launch server issues) was great

Season of the Haunted was about Crow, Caiatl and Zavala facing their trauma's that were brought to life through Nezarec's Pyramid's influence on the returned Leviathan. Zavala in his house with Safiya in TFS was a recall to that plot, and an attempt by the Witness to recruit him. Very different from one another. The entire TFS story also had an underlying red line when you looked closely at Ikora's and Zavala's actions. They were becoming eachother. Ikora becoming more stoic and less impulsive, while Zavala became extremely impulsive. They were polar opposites to how they were at Cayde's funeral.

It was a good expansion because it was just linear (apart from the forced lost sector section) but it wasn't groundbreaking storytelling in anyway. It's like a diet soda when compared to WQ and part of that is that it was too similar to red war and a season.

It was intended to be linear, it had underlying tones, it had callbacks to past events while we traversed through our own past memories manifested inside the Traveler, and brought everything together really well. It was a top tier narrative. Compare this to Lightfall, Beyond Light, Shadowkeep, Warmind or Curse of Osiris. It's not because there were better stories like The Taken King or The Witch Queen, that The Final Shape was worse than them. The Final Shape brought back exotic class items, it gave us prismatic, a 2-player exotic mission, it finally introduced Ergo Sum, gave us a 12-player activity, the first ever kinetic heavy weapon which in turn was also an exotic trace rifle, a golden gun sniper, a good narrative with nostalgic callbacks, an actual good implementation and sendoff for Cayde, a cool (quite large) destination with a new type of public event-esque activity, many secrets, THE DREAD!!! AND The return of sunsetted weapons. This is excluding the yearly seasonal content (Heresy) and the raid!

What did Witch Queen give? A good campaign, a small swamp destination, wellspring (ew), the announcement that sunsetting was discontinued after BL, weapon crafting in a terrible state (only got fixed partially, halfway through the year), a whole lotta story through altars of reflection, deepsight and lightbearer hive. And light subclass 3.0 which was indeed goated, oh and 2 strikes.

Even Vow compared to SE was not as good imho.
