You're gonna be waiting until the end of time then. Most likely there's something between Bungie and Netease that it has to be mobile only so it doesn't cut into Destiny 2 sales. You get 8 more on shop, but still. The amount of time it takes for you to complete those 8 shifting gates plus the queueing time, etc, etc... is not worth 8 essences. Especially when you can get 12 essences every 3 chests, so in like 5 minutes or less, you have farmed 32.

Afaik, yeah. If your power is over the recommended for Expanse, the Expanse cap will pull you down to the cap so you get no benefits from above-power.

But other benefits should be unaffected, like artifact substat tiers and exotic weapon upgrades.

It is just how they decided to do things. It in its own way makes it that one character isn’t going to be able to do all content the game has and in turn allows them to have some more flexability with abilities. I can only imagine if Ning was allowed any weapon, he would be part of every team and topping every leaderboard…. More so than now.

The game is F2P too, so this is how they entice people to spend. Can’t make money on forced dlc for new content, or a brand new game with different maps every year XD.

Yes she’s good, and it’ll be easier to win with her. But I mean overall in terms of speed there’s too many void for Ning to be viable and he doesn’t have spread or void unless he uses huckleberry. Maru wolf and Helhest isn’t viable either for boss / elite damage output.

With 2 helhests and 1 wolf, you can provide wolf with all the heavy ammo for his void GL because there’s a butt load of void in 2nd room and boss phase. Helhest can’t kill them, Maru can, but then Maru is slower. And Maru won’t be doing any elite damage, just ads.

End game are the Calamity Ops and Expanse activities. They're the difficult parts of the game currently and due to their difficulty, some characters just won't perform well, mainly due to the Shinka enemy type and elemental shields necessitating certain character picks.

If you're doing any other currently activity in the game, you can get away with any character, generally speaking.

Situationally you want enough ability damage to chain executes on enemies. The Wolf run from last cycle of Calamity Ops downgraded GL damage significantly by swapping GLs (to get void shield break), but compensated with survivability and ability damage.

I would not say that's the case in general imo.
