i dont have the GPS and cc1101 but i am planing to buy those and i dont wanna use the ir
the ir is only 5 pins, why not
i havent bought it and thought it isn't really important
and will a i2c oled work ?
No
why not ?
Bcs bruce is for tft only not for 12c oled or spi oled
so if i just tamper with it just a little but it should work right ?
Maybe
@floral jackal why you wanna use an oled display
i have it on hand
It will show you a lot of error just use a tft
hmm let me check
ohhh i know about this but didnt relly looked into it
Watch his youtube videos it will help you
i saw his video he made a custom one i thougt it was just too much work so i just scraped it
No it's not too much work
case i have to go back to my university this is like fun little summer holiday project
yup i haven't looked into it but now as i am checking the hardware its so simple
What r u going to do now
just gonna wire everything up and then try it
The nrf box
yup gonna diy it right now
Good luck
needed it
probably gonna add some internal leds to make it glow some colour, not sure which colour to go for though (suggestions?)
i'm going to add pin headers to the center of each pcb board in the same layout as the esp32 is, so I can stack/remove them easily (and it's modular π )
red and green ?
i decided on white and light blue
or white and black
mainly white though
found this https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001594194930.html
(this is just 5 buttons with a plastic shell on top, wiring is the same)
i'm debating just making a pcb for it, if i do i'll make sure to post it here
pcbs are too complicated for me, at least at this level of detail
i don't have that colour filament sadly, i'll do white
So will be just plug and play ?
for what?
i mean after all the modules will it just plug and play like plugging every thing togeather and will it work ?
yeah once its all soldered it works
You are going to make a costume firmware for it am I right?
no, i'll use bruce
might end up doing that though
Yeah because that 2 pixels are going to be annoying
2 pixels of what?
esp32-s3 has a seperate build, not smoochiee
so i could use the web flasher
i assume so at least
What you are saying is that you are not going to use smoochiee
Why just search esphome and download the smoochiee bin and upload it
Or use the web flasher too
no, as it is not a smoochiee board
bruce has a bin for esp32-s3 by itself, which is what i will use
not headless
scroll up to the schematic for the correct screen
the first message sent
I see
Why the pin connections are same as smoochiee like the buttons or even the display
Even the resistors for the buttons
you can't put the resistors anywhere else for the buttons, theres only one place they can go
I know if I'm not wrong there are pull up resistors
So did you test it ? Like connect the TFT to the esp32 s3 and upload the firmware
Ok man no problem, good luck with your project
read the first message, haven't recieved thevparts yet
Hey bro you need to put my credit if you want to use myschematic
you not even know there's something wrong in the schematic and spread it
This is the correct schematic do not follow the one above because there is a missing ground path
sorry, I was just trying to make it easier for others. thanks for the heads up
No Problem βοΈπ
i'm quite unsure of which firmware to flash, the provided ones in the video are old
Yes it's old, but you can download and flash it from Bruce webflasher the latest one of smoochie board firmware
does the different display not matter? Thanks
and guys i was thinking about just for cc1101 as it is half duplex shouldn't we use 2 of them cause 1 can sniff and other can just jamm the incoming signal
what's the point trying to recieve signals if there's a jammer happening a few centimeters away from it
my bad
i didnt meant it in the same enclosure i mean we can use another esp32 just for jamming but yah that beats the purpose
Different display driver or resolution???
resolution, I figured out how to do it though
How bro, tell meπ
you can just change the display_width and display_height in the bruce source code then build it
