We're still in the design phase and I don't know a lick of code, but I plan on making my own mod at some point. It'll be meant primarily as a vanilla-balanced expansion, hence the working name Cappuccino, but I do have a few silly ideas for less vanilla oriented shenanigans. Probably a "severity" selector like Cryptid has:

  • French Vanilla: Only content that interacts with base game mechanics, meant to be enjoyed as a vanilla expansion rather than a game-altering mod.
  • Pumpkin Spice: Requires Talisman. Whack crap like X Chips and ^ Chips/Mult, as well as more randomized elements. Can still be enjoyed as a tame experience, but the core balance is gone.
  • Mocha: Requires Talisman, probably requires Cryptid. The cuffs are off, and playing the game is an entirely different experience, featuring many randomized elements and features that interact directly with Cryptid's mechanics or have a similar balance, including Epic and Exotic Jokers. https://tenor.com/view/fox-spin-minecraft-speach-bubble-gif-12120065873966570174

Main thing I'd be looking for besides balance suggestions for Jokers and such would be resources to get started making mods. I've done a bit of coding in HTML, CSS, and Unity during my Graphic Design and Game Dev course at vocational tech, but that's about it in regards to my coding knowledge!

This set of bosses would probably be Mocha, seeing as one is literally just already in Cryptid (it would just show a different name)

Absurd

Edition (Pumpkin Spice and above)

5% chance of appearing. Gives Jokers more powerful abilities, if eligible. (I.e. Joker [Jimbo] gives ^4 Mult instead of +4 Mult, making it one of the best Jokers without Cryptid.) Can also appear on playing cards, giving the effect of the suit's gemstone card (i.e. $1 if it's a Diamond.)

Desc.: Makes many base game, Cappuccino, and Cryptid cards more powerful.
