this is dumb but could you like list out the incomplete vanilla blinds
i’m on mobile rn so hopping from mobile balatro to discord to check if a blind has been completed or not may be hard
hook, ox, house, wheel, fish, psychic, water, eye, mouth, needle, mark, amber acorn, verdant leaf, violet vessel, crimson heart, cerulean bell
and of course every cryptid blind except the clock
the ideas I'm having the most trouble coming up with stuff for is the ones that flip cards face fown
hook - draw cards up to your maximum hand size before scoring your hand (so, for example, if my hand size is 8 and i play a 5 card flush, i would draw 5 cards before my hand starts scoring. is this feasible to code? …probably not.)
ox - doubles money if the only played hand this blind is your most played hand (there is no cap for how much money this can give; though, maybe there should be?)

the mark - drawn face cards are given a random modification for every one they don’t have
this is really, really hard to phrase (might have to phrase it better later), but, basically, imagine you have a king of spades with a red seal. when you draw it, it gains a random edition and enhancement, but not a random seal because it already has one. if i draw an unmodified queen of diamonds, it gains an edition, enhancement, and seal. if i draw an astral lucky jack with a purple seal, nothing changes on the card

yea, i’ve never done coding for a blind before, but i’ve coded a joker for both ascensio and glitch’s backlog that was able to detect modifications on cards, and this probably wouldn’t be too difficult to code after being able to detect the modification
coding for blinds has a lot of interesting ways to implement things (you can check the exadversum.lua in my mod's files), but for the most part you can just use calculate = function(self, blind, context) and it works just like a joker

for temporary effects though like the manacle you need a set_blind function, a defeat function, and a disable function
that way you don't have modified hand size forever

Not sure what color scheme the cards on the Score version would use. On the Mult version it's low contrast but with Mult Red on the Hearts cards and on the Chips version it's high contrast but with Chip Blue on the Clubs cards.

I took the color from the stems of the Vineshrooms on the Aces since Score Purple fit in more with those colors than the pale ones on the main pips.

I found 3 in a single spectral earlier today in ante 2
the code is also jank as shit and doesn't work properly which i need to fix
coding consumables where you have to highlight cards is really annoying

balatro is what got me into coding
i only have about a month experience of coding
though I've tried and tried to code with great effort for years
I was never able to actually begin learning until balatro
and now I'm an overambitious workaholic who sucks at coding but still manages to somehow sleepwalk her way through making a half decent experience
art is a massive bottleneck though
I'm abysmal at it
in most regards I'm pretty bad at art I'd say, I do a lot better when I've got a lot of restrictions though on what I can do
like a low resolution or limited color palette

been thinking of a new idea for an exotic joker and ive decided to confirm it, but i want y'all's thoughts
it's called Aeternus, or Sempiternus (i haven't decided on the name yet)
and it basically applies all scoring effects directly to your played hand
for example if you play a flush, and you have a Cavendish, the chips from each played card are applied directly to flush, and the X3 mult is also applied to the hand
(note that this won't work for any +score/xscore jokers)

factoria rn is the only joker in the rarity, the rarity is currently called worldbending, but I'm thinking of changing it to mythic

the m6x11 font doesn't, but Balatro probably has a fallback font for characters that aren't in that font
so that's probably what its doing, and why the font looks different
there is a mod that lets you change the font globally though, mebbe you can find something useful in that
