So, I’ve heard people in the community speak against PvP, that it won’t be a feature, but my brother found an article about how the devs are planning it as a “separate” feature from the game.. I do not think this is a good idea, at all. You separate the player base. What if we have an invade system? Like dark souls does? Maybe make this possible for people who have only high end gear. Maybe even have this be the primary way to gain access to the best materials. Or just some sort of way to make it meaningful, and desired. High reward kind of thing, and leaving the best things in the game solely behind this pvp interaction. I just don’t want to see it as a separate kind of thing. Maybe if the game had huge numbers. I mean, from what I saw, it’s not like it’s hard to find weapon pieces, and metal. It’s not like someone can’t get geared again easily.
#Pvp Ideas.

yea it should have it in a part of the journey, the problem for a good pvp need to have some real fighting focus like for honor guard stances or kindom come, or the option that i had suggest earlier, a troop system where you send ia to fight o have your ia in the stance to fight against another team of 5, so the 1v1 combat doesnt need to be that deep and polish cause you are going to be entreteined more in positioning and formations etc.
I really feel like the constant trickle of pro pvp propaganda is a symptom of an "every game should be made for me specifically" mindset. I can't think of any games like this for PvE enjoyers and pvp people have tons of extraction games to enjoy. There are game design spaces that can only be explored and optimized because PvE is the focus that are fundamentally compromised by PvP systems and that's not even getting into the negative effect PvP has on communities. Dark and darker is a great example, it was a worse game than it could have been to accommodate PvP in its game design.
pro pvp propaganda? what? lol no. im a thorough enjoyer of pvp in general. its very very very hard to have a pve game that keeps its replayability. npcs are just dumb, and exploitable, easy to outsmart, cannon fodder. etc. gaming with training wheels pretty much. i tried the game out, cool concept, but got bored fast. i just asked my brother if the game plans on being pvp, to which he responded with an article about the devs planning to add in the future as a "seperate" mode from the single player.
If you find PvE games to have no replay value you should just not play them instead of trying to turn every game into a clone of every other PvP slop game
You should check out some steam charts on a game like, idk, rust. 12 year anniversary right now of the most toxic game on steam full of full loot PvP Shenanigans with thousands and thousands of players in the game at any hour of the day or night. It’s been the king of the genre for ages now. “PvP slop” lol ok. But you are entitled to your opinion. And you might also need to reread my comment about the article the devs made about the PvP choice. I mean, I’m not a dev, I have no part in their decision making. So me trying to “change” it into a PvP game? No dude, I’m just a bystander lol, also, that’s good advice, see that’s why I don’t play pve games. I’ll give them a try from time to time, which is what I did here. And then I asked my question, and it received an answer, SO, here I am making. Suggestions on said pvp planned mechanic
just play rust then lol
Sure, I do sometimes. It’s been hard lately as busy as I am with work. But I wouldn’t ask the game to change any, because they nail it all. But, you sound worried, triggered even. Oh no! Pvp! lol like I said, their current plan is to add it as a separate mechanic anyway, so you can still larp without any big bad men coming to take your lunch money 🙂
my 2 cents is that it could be optional. based on the current setup maybe entering into a extra player dangerous dungeon with the temptation of player items? im still hoping for camps to be in a live location with dungeon danger always looming. Protect the orange furball. PROTECT IT I SAY
