I usually like to keep servers unmodded, unless there is something game breaking or needs a quick fix. If a hardcore type of server is needed, I can make one as a seperate instance. Voice chat is not necessary per se. How does shared progression work exactly? If disabling it means people can choose to do a quest and it completes it separately for them then that would be better no?

Sounds great! How does level balance work in this game? Does being higher level break immersion in terms of making things harder or easier? Any scaling, etc...

scaling is a set rate for every player in the game, for every extra player the enemies get either 100%-150% (can’t remember which one exactly) boost to health and guard meters. But having a higher lvl character than the biome you’re in will ofc make it easier bc you’ll be a higher lvl, do more dmg, and have better gear and stuff

I'm a chill farmer/builder that just loves this game a lot. I played the demo and i even played the Crosswind alpha when it was out last year. Would love to try coop and try playing it with new friends

Depends on what you mean by "Voice acting". I usually tend to speak as my character when I am in a conversation with another character, it is usually a flip flop between me describing something like:"You can see me pacing back and forth while I ponder our plan" (so you get the picture in your head) and then say (as my character):"Ok, there is no way a frontal assault on the fortress will work, they are very well fortified. But maybe we can use small vessels, land on the other side off the island in the night and sneak in somehow?" (just a random example of something that could come up during RP ^^).

And in regards to serious/fun: My golden rule for RP is "It has to be fun for everybody". So usually, I love to sit down with folks first to talk about what kind of game we wanna run. Low level underdogs who fight for their lifes or more something more powerful? I personally love the underdog approach and my chars usually have quirks and flaws because imho that is what makes a character intersting 🙂
