Game freezes when using fast travel

same here, in coop after fast travel to Tortuga game freeze and now I can't join server

So you come here to report this and the only useful information you have supplied is part of your PC specs. So how is this getting fixed based on this information? How would one reproduce this issue? Have you tried the basic troubleshooting tips?
Have you reached out to the Host Company to verify it is not on the Server side?
What have you tried to solve this other than come here and post this?

Turn off Steam Cloud it is not working right now.
Verify that SP run fine on your PC.
You bought an Early Access game at the very start expect these issues. That is why it is funny because this is part of supporting development.

Well I have 0 issues with it so there is a good chance that devs may not have issue either. Look around you seem to be the only one with this. Trying to help but if you want to not play that is up to you.
My game runs butter smooth I just got bored of it. Every island I found I dropped a bell and was moving back and forth to home. Moved to all faction islands too. On and off boats.

What are you a moderator now? Or my mother? Whatever I have other things to do. For every 10 people gateful for help there are 2 people that have attitude. Again my game works just fine so Windrose clearly is not completely broken.

Iv always believed moderating is for moderators but there is always that one nobody trying to be the unofficial self appointed one aye

i have to restart my computer when Fast traveling to tortuga only place ive noticed it happening and only when connected to friends worlds havent tried it on solo offline yet

Had this freeze happen resulting in me having to alt f4 to get it to close. Resulted in corruption of game data meaning the loading hangs up. Tried deleting save files and verifying game files still nada.

40 hours of gameplay with no bugs. Hope I don’t lose my save and bases

I did find that updating my drivers helped then it started again

Each time it gets bad verify game files- it suddenly goes away and works a while

I have been playing a 3 person coop world and i have also had this error.

I have a high end pc, plenty of space for the game on my m.2 and have verified the steam files. I've not had an issue before until this weekend. From what I can tell I only have the black screen freezing and pc lockup when I fast travel to Tortuga. Restarting the pc is the only way to unfuck it. For now I have to manually sail to Tortuga. Not sure if any of this helps the devs but please look into the latest patch maybe as there might be something conflicting in there for certain peoples games.

I had the same issue a couple of time, once to fast travel to Tortuga (started walking toward the Bar and the game froze), the 2 other times were fast traveling to the main base of people of Tortuga.

i5 12600k
32 g ddr5 ram
game on nVME with available space

Morning dude ! on my end, just stopping the game from steam fixes everything for me and I can relaunch directly
