i followed the video and it didnt work. What i did was disable steam cloud. Go into %appdata% and C:\Users\hedst\AppData\Local\R5\Saved\SaveProfiles"your number"\RocksDB\0.10.0\Players and copied the saved profiles out of the folder one by one until i could start the game. Once you find the trouble "shadow player folder" you can probably put the other ones in again.

Look up on google Nexus mods Save repair tool windrose, that can help you restore any corrupted saves

- Download https://www.nexusmods.com/windrose/mods/158?tab=files tool
- Launch the tool & check for any saves shown with "no Data" , your character save should show with a lvl and data found
- Copy the directory shown above & paste it into file explorer Example:
C:\Users\YOUR USER\AppData\Local\R5\Saved\SaveProfiles\76561198194322866\RocksDB\0.10.0\Players - Remove the file you see in the tool with no data , make sure Cloud save is also off in steam - Found in Properties -> General
- Relaunch the game , if you load into the main screen, close again & put cloud save on.
- If your game then launches without loading again follow the following
Close steam , Windows (C:) - > Program files -> Steam -> Userdata -> (Your ID)
Click "3041230" , remove Remotecache.vdf
That removes your cloud data
"3041230" Is the game's ID so only remove that one if you got other games installed , Don't delete any other - Try starting again with cloud data on & see if the corrupted save file found earlier didn't appear back in
C:\Users\YOUR USER\AppData\Local\R5\Saved\SaveProfiles\76561198194322866\RocksDB\0.10.0\Players

Is there a fix for this if Ive deleted everything, uninstalled, reinstalled, and checked files? No cloud saves, dont use it. Completely started over.
135 hours in and now can't get to main menu.

If you're game is still not loading than yes. Theres a hard chance your Steam Cloud save kept your saves and therefore uninstalling doesn't help
It will simply just put the corrupted file back in
The steps i've provided helped already over 60+ people

Like i said, i've helped tons of people simply with the method i've been working on all day , for now it's the only one that works

I am not familiar with mods and how to install, or where to go to get them. So I imagine it will take my soft head alot longer.

If you get that issue, Do not delete anything. It will be frustrating to hear but simply wait for a hotfix
The fix i provide is only for people where multiple show up with 1 showing data
This is on the devs side where it's going wrong. The game is having issues since yesterday

Tried that, still doesn't work. Even tried Revo Uninsaller that a buddy recommended.

Sorry it didn't help ! Best case is to wait it off this week for a patch. Avoid deleting any other files. Some issues are just not fixable by us limited players 🙂
