I'm getting the same issue. I've verified the game files, restarted Steam, restarted my computer, uninstall and reinstalled, deleted the folder, and still the same issue.

I had the same issue and just downloaded and installed the 24th march nvidia driver and seems fine now

Haven't been able to play for the last 30 hours or so... have the devs not addressed this? Seems ridiculous

I launch the game and I get the Unreal splash screen followed by the loading page with a map and tips displayed along the bottom. My game just stays on this loading screen and dosn't go to the main menu. I have verified game files, launched as admin and updating drivers, nothing works. The only thing that does work - is to turn off steam cloud saves, but then my character and world are gone? Are/have the devs addressed this? What are we supposed to do?

This didn't work for me - after turning off steam cloud saves I can launch the game and create a new character, But after turning cloud saves back on, I get the same issue of being stuck on the load screen

Hi. I had a similar problem yesterday. I loaded the publictest/beta from Steam. Using the instructions from Bambino's post. He said it is to test the fixes that the dev team has yet to make live. They want to be sure it works well. So they're taking testers. I loaded it up, and the moment my game went to load my save it showed me which save was corrupted and it told me it would delete it, do I want to continue? And I clicked yes. Then the game launched right in. No long loading screen. My characters were all there. So, then after that I closed game, went back into steam and switched it from the publictest/beta server to the one for main game, and viola. All working! #│public-test-instructions messageMake sure you read the first part, so you are clear on what to do. Don't get overwhelmed it really is easy.

I can confirm that this worked. I logeed into the PTR and got the same message about a corrupted save which was deleted. i have reverted to the normal version of the game and I can play and all my chars are there - this doesn't seem to be an appropriate solution however. It's a bit much to expect people to go through this process rather than pushing a patch which fixes the issue for people. Some less tech savvy people may struggle withit.

Guys, what worked for me is - i removed R5 folder, disabled cloud saves, started new game, left, went inside SaveProfiles -numbers - RocksDB (Here i changed AccountDescription.txt with the .txt from my backup folder (where my actual saves were)) -0.10.0- accounts (here delete the new acc folder and replace with your actual old one)) - go back and inside the Players - copy your Player save folder from the SaveProfiles - Numbers_Backup(From your old R5 folder which you backed up)) - !Try different folders, maybe some would work, it worked for me, i got set back a few levels!

also maybe you don't need to erase r5 completely, just replace players with players from backup folder

I launched without the cloud, clicked "next" on a new character, closed the game when I reached the menu, deleted R5, relaunched with the cloud, and it still gives me an infinite loading screen (sorry, it takes a long time to translate, I'm not English xD)

I encountered this issue after deleting a character. & world I was able to restore from backup to get it to work again.

For testing, I deleted those characters again. I closed the game and reopened it. Issue happened again.

I went into the RocksDB/0.10/0 folder and manually deleted those character folder. I opened the game and was able to get into the character selection screen again.

Seems like the culprit is deleting a character/world and the game still see a "foreign" character folder and trying to load it. This may not be the problem for everyone but this was mine.

Symptom: unable to get to character select screen after closing game.
Description before issue occurred: Created a new character and world. Deleted new character and world. Closed game.
Resolution: Delete the deleted world/character folder.

Public test load provided no error message as previously reported so no fix was found with this method

Re-enabled cloud and it got messed up again. Disabled cloud again. Restored the R5 folder I backed up (not the backup folders). Deleted the character folder that I deleted earlier today. It's working again. Keeping cloud saved off for now until permanent fix.

Since I bought the game, I haven't been able to play it because when I try to load a game, I get a message saying I don't have enough video memory (GeForce 3060 12GB). I thought the latest update would fix it, but it didn't. I've even tried lowering the graphics settings to the minimum.

open that with notepad, youll see a long string of number/letters - thats your account ID

go into \RocksDB\0.10.0 and then open the accounts folder, delete all files except your matching ID

i appreciate the advice a lot, i think this is where it gets too involved for my old brain to grasp, or after 2 1/2 hours maybe im just at my limit
