#Dedicated Server Constant High CPU Usage when empty
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Thanks for the report, we're working on it.
It's exhausting having to treat my dedicated server as a coop server due to this long time known issue. Windrose+ solved this a week ago but I do not want to install any 3rd party software. I have over 75hours played so far and 3 other friends that play on my server every day and they have 30+ hours played each. It's tiring having to constantly start/stop the server due to this bug. This is the only bug I care about. I have patience for all the other issues you are working on and appreciate the hard work. But this bug needs to be addressed asap so our dedicated servers can be just that, always on dedicated servers. Hence why I am asking for a quick "Hotfix" that you could push out fixing this one issue. At the rate were going (and were in no hurry to complete the game) we will be done with the game by the time this bug gets addressed and no need for the fix. Thank you for your time.
Long time known issue ? Stop up basement dweller, The game just came out 2 weeks ago and its a small dev team.
Other players reported this solution helped as a temporary workaround

TY for the recommendation but as I stated, I'm not interested in installing 3rd party software. My dedicated server is running on a licensed fresh install of Windows Server 2022 (fully updated), 32gb ram, intel 13th gen processor, with a 1tb NVME drive.
Do you have at least a rough estimate of when it might be fixed? This week, next week?
Should be this week, but no guarantee for now.
This thread tells me it's a known issue and that you're working on it.
I bought the game at the weekend after seeing it streamed.
It looks great.
Stood up a dedicated server on my Pterodactyl host today and noted 200% cpu usage (2 maxed vcpus) with no-one logged on.
I searched for pause when idle settings in the config files and noted nothing related.
So for now the server will be downed when no-one is intending to be online.
I can't have it cooking my server cpu 24/7.
I'm looking forward immensely to playing this game and getting my friends into it ahaaar me shimmering maties.
hi Cubert we had a thread going where @heady tapir initially posted this in #1491867519395299508 . it had around 400 comments and now its gone, anything you can do to revive it?
I don't really manage the server outside of bug-reports section. I think you need to contact mods via modmail
no worries
Should have posted a screenie. Noted the patch due today is slated to address this so fingers crossed.
