#Cannot connect to my own dedicated server

Hey guys,

I'm having an issue connecting to a dedicated server I am hosting through Pterodactyl on a separate machine in my home network. The Pterodactyl layer is essentially running the game server on a Docker container.
My friends externally can join the server just fine using the invite code.
However, when I try to join, it goes into the loading screen and then crashes to the main menu. Sometimes, it crashes the game completely.

Here are some server logs that might be helpful.

Any ideas on what I could try?

Thanks for the report! We're currently already in a testing phase of the patch with the proper solution for handling dedicated server connection, so the easiest fix might be just waiting for it.

go to T5 folder open the json file for the invite code

Unfortunately, the newest update doesn't fix this issue. I can only join my own locally hosted dedicated server via direct IP, but then that means that my friends cannot join unless I expose the server to the internet, which in my case is impossible (CGNAT).

We have several potential solutions for connectivity issues aside from Direct IP here: https://playwindrose.com/faq/
If you've tried Firewall/Antivirus disable/IPv6/DNS/port forwarding and nothing helps - try using cloudflare warp https://one.one.one.one/, a lot of players reported it helped them, so you may try that out.
Some ISP like Bezeq International Ltd, Ziggo, telnet, Xfinity, Spectrum, are blocking our servers, so disabling advanced security features provided by them might be good idea as well

Do you have the network mode set to Host? Mine was set to bridge as default and I had the same issue.

I tried setting the network mode of the pterodactyl node to host but still coudn't get it to work. It's a shame we cannot combine the use of invite codes AND have the ability to join via direct IP. Is this just a technical impossibility?
