it shuld be updated...
this is what steam shows me
im very sorry but at the moment I do not knkow how SteamCMD is differnt from regular stam app update
perhaps there are some issues that we are not aware of 🙁
we will investigate
shows me as a server client id mismatch
It's all good there is just some wierd issue with steamCMD cache or smth
Iirc ppl were downloading it to another folder, or making sure they are login into steam
And it DLed fine
One thing I'm aware of is that steamcmd tends to corrupt the appmanifest_*.acf. So as a rule of thumb you should delete the steamapps/appmanifest_4129620.acf before attempting an update with steamcmd.
thx ill try this
@viscid grove where in the world are you located?
Denmark
might be a regional thing for me then, i'm USA
Didn't work simply to remove the manifest file. I saved the "save" folder and ServerDescription.json, removed the server folder and forced a new download, restored the files and it's running again. Sure hope it's not a regular exercise at every update 😁
I uninstalled, deleted every file and folder, reinstalled, uninstalled, changed install directory, installed, uninstalled, signed in, reinstalled, all still shows the same old version
daymn thats a deeper issue 😧
wouldn't be so bad but all my progress is on the server lol
As an alternative to steamcmd there's also https://github.com/SteamRE/DepotDownloader . It's also used in the indifferentbroccoli docker image to pull the server files.
