and foundations may be square or look weird when clipped.. walls can have a nice circular effect that don't want a square base

guess it depends on if you build your whole base on foundations, or use the actual environment as the floor to build things on top of

Not really, but there is a mod that helps the shovel a bunch and fixes a bunch of those issues. Pretty sure radius is one of them. If you aren't into mods, then right now that's honestly the best we got lol. Or find a mostly flat area and use foundation blocks to even things out.

Now the server started off as "High Seas" and my friend is actively changing the server to "Calm Seas" and even confirms it. But when the server is loaded up, its still stuck on High Seas. Just confirmed it @sharp wagon (hopefully I'm not late) Test site #1 I chopped 120 Plague Tree's leaving the stumps intact and did the "Exit to Main Menu" and reloaded back in method seeing 12 tree's regrow back making it a 10% regrowth for one patch tree's. Very low regrowth so high possibility some locations may not see regrow at all.

its good if you dont mind running away and kiting a lot. when you perfect block + dodge and stay tight you can kill enemies much quicker by staying inside the pocket rather than bleed + run strat. but each to their own 🙂

Ofc. I had a bug in my game where reliable pistols just didn't spawn at all. Had to get them off a friend after I had already cleared the whole map. Just don't want anyone else pulling their hair out over something like that lol

otherwise i would swap bull's eye out for marathon runner

the main issue with it is that its damage gets outscaled by pretty much every otehr weapon VERY fast.
in the demo that wasnt an issue, both because it was generally stronger then, and because there werent that many strong enemies yet.
but as it stands now, basically once you defeat thomas, the rapier falls off so quickly that it might overtake you if you went skydiving

souleater is sort of a hybrid between the "smaler" plague weapons you can get your hands on, and the otehr greatswords.
its overall damage is a bit less then the other greatswords, but the special offers something the other greatswords cant

Level 5 gear is as high as you can get. I managed character level 8.

He really wasn't that bad. It's a defensive fight. Perfect block attacks, dodge red attacks, and run from grenades. Get in 2-3 saber slashes during openings. Use a defensive build and bring pots, you're going to have to outlast him.

If you've hit pirate camps for the powder, strafing him with guns is another option

Bores don't 2-shot you once you get past the first boss. You can randomly find boots, gloves and hats in chests. Armor chests and trousers you buy from merchants you'll meet later in the game. You should focus on first upgrading shirts and pants first to level 5.

Enemy level equates to gear level for you. Everything scales off that. Upgrade your gear to it's at our above the event level and it'll get easier. Move to a new biome where the enemies are higher level and it'll be harder again until you get your great upgraded.

Getting used to blocking and dodging helps. I changed dodge to ALT and where ALT was previous used was changed to CTRL, that greatly helped me dodge.

because you're on the frigate looking over it. In order to board you have to like visible look at/put the curose over the ship so with frigate, it's a bit of a pain. But you'll have to board from further away so you can get a clear look at the target. Board distance is actually pretty far so you can be almost a boat's width away

yeah i don't know if that bug's been fixed yet, i wouldn't delete your character... just make yourself a new character

on the main menu, click the bottom where your character name is, it takes you to character creation/selection

i'd leave your existing character alone for now until you have more info on whether the "character deletion = game stuck on loading screen until you manually delete the player file folder after disabling steam cloud" bug was fixed

just take your clothes or something off on your old one if your new character has the same name as your old one (you can do that) so you have a way of easily recognizing which is which

Yes its an early access game, most towns only have 4-5 npc's. And you do nothing with extra insignias. Keep them for future factions and updates. They will likely increase the max rep from 4 to a higher number with updates.

I think that's for balancing purposes. Otherwise it would be faster to just constantly swap to a hotbar of guns lol. Plus applying different effects to mobs later as well which would get in the way of balance even more.

I would agree if ranged weapons would 1-2 shot an enemy, but in their current state might as well not waste a slot for them in your inventory

The blunderbuss works pretty well for taking out an enemy in one shot. You won’t take down any starred enemies but it will one shot a ranged enemy like the musketeer

I use the one that ragdolls enemies so even if it doesn’t kill it takes them out of the fight for a bit

If anyone is struggling with money just go blasting ships for a bit. At lvl 15 I made like 6.7k piastre last night after only like 30-40m of farming. Then converted all that to like 121 Guinea at smugglers since running low after buying all the vendor plans

I think it would be cool if the guys you hire would passivly build up certain materials like Dr. Glenn does with the minor health potions. You could assign them to build or make or collect specific stuff.

I farm the camps where you got your sailors from near the starting island, the camp that has Richards Lieutenant on the busted up pirate sheep, and the temple where you get the four black marks.

Dw you can farm so much gunpowder from pirates and camps early on, I had 300 gunpowder before I even hit foothills

Hello everyone. So i finished the game and decided to try to build something for the first time. And to not struggle with this, i installed some mods.
The one who can hold more stacks in one slot and the 3x loot. So for example, i have in 1 chest, 1 slot with like 400 ingots or 1500 wood.
If i delete this mod what would happen with those materials? They split in the box? or dissapear?

I had this issues. I deleted a character and until I deleted the files from my computer, never got past the load screen.

It’s a bug in the game. Im not at my computer right now but if you google it you will find the answer for a file path. Someone shared it in the SteamCommunity for the game.

It may be the game save state was before you removed them from the chest, check the chest again they may be there

Ship Hull Customization Not Showing

Is this a bug, see enclosed picks.
From what i can see it is the correct ship and customization.

I did a clean instal of the game and steam and it still not populating correctly.

Depends on the customization you've bought, blackbeard hulls for example can only be equipped on blackbeard variants

Only flags are universal

if youre on a dedicated server restart the server and join with invite code even if its already in your list. if on a private server you might be cooked idk

Yeah. So on my ship, when I select fast-travel, there are to places to travel fast. There aren't any markers.

did you join someone elses server previously that mightve had mods? if you join a modded server you most likely wont be able to join your normal world

ive had no issues with this so far and im using the bigger stacks mod able to transfer entire stacks from my modded co-op to non modded dedicated server just fine

heck ive even done trades with plenty of people on my co-op while they dont have the mod and are able to take entire stacks of 999 stones an such perfectly fine

seems like it's either a bug, or the image in the customization simply doesn't match the skin in the world, or a mix of both. I would submit a bug report regardless

You can try to just fire the first ones without the second ones and wait for cooldown to shoot again.
