i used rapier of a thousand cuts. walk to him to bait his attack (one sequence is 2 swings, another is 3 but mostly is the 2 swing one), run away / dash away until second swing is done. go in, hit twice get out. rinse repeat and run opposite direction of bombs/grenades

I completed the statue for the Boar Whistle but my inventory was full, causing me to lose the whistle.
Are there other statues on my map I can use to still get the whistle, or can I take this character to another game and just do the statue on that map?
I just built the Brig and have a lot of time on this character and would perfer to not lose it, but don't want to continue with it if I won't be able to get the whistle now.

Ya. They need to fix this. Not everyone cares about the Boar Whistle, I get that. It's not 'game breaking'...I get that....but it is broken, and I hate that. I hate throwing away 50 hours. I made a new map and took my character there to see if I could still get the whistle from a fresh map but all my quest progress follows me to the new map. I could tell as soon as I looked at the Map. Since I'm stubborn...I sailed to the Hills and found the statue there...but as you can see....as soon as I beached I could see an unlocked POI and after reaching the statue.......it's still triggered for me. So my only option is to play this character without the Pig....or throw away my brig...my build...my gear..and worse...the 50 hours I spent progressing. Big hit in the gut and I am not looking forward to starting over fresh and getting whooped by boars for the next few hours. Need a break and Ima go finish Crimson. I really, really hope they fix this. It's been present since it was called Crosswinds. To be honest....I miss Crosswinds.

no..shared progress only works when being at the same stage of a quest :) if someone joins after you, they will have to get to the point you are at, so you can progress the rest together

You can get new rare weapons by doing quests/finding them. If you really need to you can make another one of the same kind using the blueprint

Not sure if I found a bug, but if you're in a fight against ships you don't think you can beat, pop a repair kit and just get off the helm, seems they won't aggro unless you're actively on a helm.
